Pleasant Stay

Check in staff was all business not very friendly. Room was very nice with a great view. My wife and I ate dinner in the lounge area and the food and service were both excellent. We experienced a problem with plumbing in the room and the maintenance staff was quick to get to the room and repair the problem. The front desk was very apologetic and offered a few breakfast because of the problems we had. We will visit again.

Outstanding, great value, great location for our purpose

We found this place to be excellent for those attending the TWS track. The rooms were spacious, clean, well appointed and the personnel were very courteous. Great over all value and locatoin.

Beware of "Overbooked Situation"

We picked this hotel because of its proximity to Texas Motorspeedway. However, when we tried to check in on Saturday night, we were told that the hotel was overbooked and they were sending us to a "sister" hotel 6 miles down the road. The night manager quickly apologized and said that all hotels do this. That was the only explanation we got. Marriott did pay for our room at the lesser sister hotel, but if anyone has ever experienced raceday traffic, it made for paltry amends. I don't know how many other people were put in our situation, but beware - apparently it happens all the time.

Poor Money for the Room

Amenities grossly over-exaggerated. Service in restaurant is non-existent.

Expected a bit more

One of the features that we expected at the price we paid and for the location was complimentary newpaper. That is almost standard now for a hotel and this one had nothing. It would have also been nice to have a servi bar - at least a small frig with drinks. I will say they had this downstairs in the lobby by the front desk. The buffets were good and the ride to the racetrack was worth it all! Overall a good stay - just wish it had a couple more perks for the price!

Thin walls, charge for internet access

The Marriott is a beautiful property, the rooms all look wonderful with LCD HD TVs, comfortable bathrooms and a great pool/whirlpool spa. First off, the property charges for Internet Access per day. As a business traveler, I see this as a requirement now and not just an amenity. Secondly, the walls are extremely thin. We spent the night listening to the elevator ding, the couple next door talking, and the TV of the person on the other side. Without ear plugs, I would have been unable to sleep totally. I expected a lot more from a property looking and costing what this one does.

Beautiful Hotel

The hotel staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The room was exceptionally clean and neat and the bed was absolutely wonderful! I had a fantastic experience and would return in a heartbeat!
