3.5 stars is the appropriate rating for this hotel. Overall, it was not fancy, but the staff was very polite and accommodating. The hotel restaurant is small and kind of casual, but the menu is pretty diverse, and the food was excellent. I recommend the black clams with the garlic ginger sauce, and the beef tenderloin was outstanding.

Well-run hotel on Cleveland's West Side. Very friendly staff went way out of its way to accommodate late arriving guests, including holding the kitchen open after normal closing hours.

Uninvited Guest

I had an early business meeting and was unsure if I would be returning to the hotel before check out. I did NOT check out but rather, took my belongings with me. Upon my return and before check out, I went to my room. I was shocked to find a "DO NOT DISTURB" hang tag on my door. I double checked my suite number and used my key after knocking. I opened the door to see tolietries opened on the sink and a purse on the chair! I called the front desk and met security. It was the maids!!!!! I could not use the room after knowing someone else had been using the bathroom I paid for. It is a premium hotel with a premium price. They did not offer a refund or adjustment. I let it go knowing the maid would surely lose her job if it went any furhter. Know that this is a black mark on their record and the management of such a beautiful property is a little out of touch.

Very accomodating

Changed my room at check-in to a double and they gave me the exact floor that I requested. Was visiting Cleveland for a wedding, and although we did not have time to use them, this hotel had a very nice pool, fitness center, and laundry room. No charge for parking as they were re-paving the lot.

Newly Renovated

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times in the past and was always extremely happy with the service and hotel in general. The hotel has now been renovated and is even nicer than before. The only disappointment for me is that Jack's Steak House is no longer the restaurant on property. I may look for another airport hotel to stay at next time due to that fact. We were not happy with the new restaurant and like to know we will have a nice meal the night before flying home.

Will not be back

I am a business traveler who has one-two overnight stays per week. I left the hotel early for a meeting but did not check out. When I returned to my room, there was a do not disturb sign on my door. I opened it to find a purse on the chair. I alerted the front desk and while waiting for someone to meet me there, the maid fessed up. I was uncomfortable using the room as there was shampoo opened in my bathroom (I bring my own). Further, the WiFi is $9.95 for 24 hours. Lastly, I ordered breakfast to go and some of the food was missing and there was a to go coffee cup with no coffee! The room was clean and well styled but I would think twice before staying there again.

Well Done

They are in the middle of remodeling and yet I thought they pulled it off very well. My room was perfect in every way and the food and service off all employed was outstanding.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

i stayed at this Marriott Airport in Aug of 2008...the re modeling was an issue, i didn't know about it until i had already arrived. I tried this place again on April 18 2009, its still being remodeling. i checked in asking for a room that would be quiet. Im given a room on the 7th floor. the entire 7th floor was young familes and kids screaming and slamming doors until after 1am. the quiet finally was noticeable at 7am...when i was getting ready to leave. the rooms are nice but they are newly remodeled...but the washroom is cramped and im not a fan of showers that are in a full bath tub.

Great room for the money

Hotel is undergoing lobby renovations and so forth so the discounts onthe rates made it a great value. Rooms were top level.
