Tipo de viaje: With Friends Reseña 1 de 266What an Experience!
This hotel was wonderful!! The doormen and front desk staff are so friendly and helpful! We stayed in a single room with a double bed. It was small but perfect for us! Subway entrace right out the front dooor! Walking distance to some wonderful NYC sites! For the price, you can't beat this hotel!

Don't think there was a single bulb of more than 30 watts both to save electricity and to hide the dirt. This is a good location for the upper westside but anywhere else but NY it would be called a flophouse.

Tipo de viaje: With Friends Reseña 5 de 266Great place to sleep for the money
Small but clean and safe. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lobby decor was fun and comfortable. Room was very small but fine for sleeping, after all when in NYC that's all you need a room for! Could use some hooks and/or shelves in bathroom. Neighborhood was fun - lots of shops and resturants.

The room was exceptionally small - smaller than the discription indicated. The location was nice and the rooms were clean, but I've stayed in many hotels in NYC, and honestly most of them would need to be sold out before I'd choose this one again.

Tipo de viaje: Business Reseña 7 de 266Hotel or Hostel....You Decide
First, the staff of this "hotel" were great. Upon check-in, I was told that the complimentary wi-fi was only available in the bar/lobby and in a small portion of the rooms and mine was not one of them. Because I rely on the internet for work, I had to insist on being placed in a room that would receive a signal. Even so, the only way I could get on the internet was by sitting on the corner of the bed and pointing my computer just so...a real pain! The bathroom and floors were completely filthy, with other peoples hair left all over the place. The shower was stained and very unattractive and every time I opened and closed the shower door it would fall off the track. The maids, though clearly not top notch, are friendly, thank goodness, as I had to request lots of extra towels, which I used to spread on the floors in my room and bathroom. I did not want my bare feet to come into contact with those floors! Yuk! I really believe that this "hotel" is better listed as a "hostel" and not a very good one at that. To summarize, I would never recommend this to anyone who could afford to stay somewhere else. I do recommend it as a hostel for the thrifty traveler, who has few concerns for cleanliness.

not much to like, but at least i didn't see bugs. no elevator, no glasses, not even plastic, not sure if there were even kleenexes.

Tipo de viaje: Business Reseña 9 de 266Great location
If you are looking for a hotel on the upper west side near the subway and Columbia, you can't beat this location. Too bad the hotel has no elevator! The staircases are narrow and dark, and after walking the streets of New York all day, slogging up four or five flights of stairs was a drag! The room was a good deal for the price though.

Tipo de viaje: With Friends Reseña 10 de 266you get what you pay for..
They renovated the rooms recently. the room is tiny and it was good enough for me just crash after tiring and long days. I hard ly spent 6 hrs a day. Don't expect so much before you check in you will certainly get disappointed. No closet, no iron table, not even drinking water bottle provided at the front desk. Hotel is located at the center very near central park and time square. easy access to subway if you prefer to travel in train and there are good restaurants near by. safe neighborhood. rate was cheap. overall its good. I would give 3/5.

Tipo de viaje: With Friends Reseña 12 de 266Great for the price
The rooms are small, there is no iron, no elevator and no full length mirror in the rooms. But the location and price are hard to beat. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and toiletries where pretty good quality. I would stay there again if on a budget.

Tipo de viaje: Special Event Reseña 13 de 266A double room in name only
This double room was really a single room with two double beds crammed in. There is no elevator, and the staircases are extremely narrow. (Think dragging your bags up while bumping the walls.) They did have a bellman carry them up when we checked in, but after that, it was up to us. The Tv reception was horrible, and after the first day, they didn't replace the shampoo or bathmat. Still, you can't beat the price -- just factor in climbing several flights of stairs every time you come and go.

Tipo de viaje: Family Reseña 14 de 266great room for the money
We enjoyed our stay, small room but all the conveniences that we needed. Was clean and well maintained for the most part. We needed a light bulb which they provided right away. Staff was friendly. Great access to the subway. For the money I would recommend it. The neighbor hood is nice as well.

Tipo de viaje: Not Provided Reseña 15 de 266great location
the location of this hotel was great. its right across the street from the train. you can hop on the train and get to anywhere from Times Square, The Village, to Canal St in no more than 20 mins or less. the neignborhood the hotel is in is also a decent area with restaraunts, a couple of bars, stores, and fast food. my only 2 complaints of this hotel is that it doesnt have an elevator and the rooms are EXTREMELY small. they will have attendants take up and bring down your luggage for you and the beds are very comfortable . the cleanliness of the room was not an issue and the service was great. the staff was friendly, helpful, and will answer any and all your questions with no problem. for the price i wouldnt recommend this hotel but if they brought down their rates a bit, i would. its a great spot to stay in for vacationers who dont plan on being in their hotel rooms but to get dressed and go.
