Great deeal for Key Largo

This is an incredible deal for what you get. Three stories and two nice rooms with great living room and kitchen. This was a lot more expensive last year I am sure. Great location and the best pool in the area.

Excellent Property in the Keys

I have stayed in many hotels/resorts in the Keys - this one is a stand out. For just a 2 night stay we couldn't have been happier. The only drawback was the BR was very small and only had a shower. Clean, private. Newer - which is rare in the Keys.

Pleasantly surprised

I searched long and hard for a hotel with positive reviews in the upper keys. This was not easy, but I finally settled on the Mariner since it's negative reviews were a year or more old. I was very happy with our overall stay. Room was large, clean, well furnished and appointed. Was it perfect - no, but very nice. We rented a 3 bedroom ocean front "town home". The "villas" are laid out on a single floor plan where the town homes are quite vertical. You have to walk up a steep flight of stairs to the living area and third, small bedroom and then up another steep flight of stairs for the master and second bedroom. The dive shop, adjacent to the hotel, which supplies the watersports is convenient and very friendly. The pool is huge, the largest in the keys -zero entry and surrounded by sand. The beach chairs have clearly been replaced since their negative review. The check-in staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful - once again probably new since the negative reviews. I do agree with those who have said it is not a resort. There is NO food or beverage service of any kind. The Mandalay restaurant closed in Sept 09. The hotel provides a list of nearby restaurants conveniently arranged by MM distance from the property. The property location is convenient to activities in both Key Largo and Islamorada.

Rented a time-share condo thas was for sale

Staff really unfriendly , our rented time-share condo really needs some remodeling. But it was for sale, so the owners don't care anymore. Many just small thinks were broken or didn't meet expectations (no bulbs in lamps etc.)

Not as Advertised

What a nightmare.....

Outstanding Hotel

We only stayed here for one night. The front desk lady went above and beyond to explain the activities in the Northern Keys and the resort itself. The one bedroom apartments are on the lower level. Parking for guests is off on the side while the owners get to park directly in front of the door. The resort is in great condition. The only one thing that frightened me was a lady (which could have had one too many pina coladas) that was standing on the corner and saying very odd things. This was obviously not the resort's fault but still something that put a damper on my stay at the Mariner's Resort Villas and Marina.

Perfect Family Retreat

We absolutely loved our stay at the Mariner's Resort. The staff was friendly and helpful. The 3 bedroom unit was clean, comfortable and plenty of room for our family. The marina was also well kept and the dock master was friendly and helpful. Location was also ideal because it is between Key Largo and Islamorada.

Lots of space for the price

This hotel has great rooms for the price. In Key Largo, having a kitchen means big savings for the family, as well as convenience. There are two grocery chains nearby so you can stock up for meals. The rooms were very modern and well appointed, and were very clean. The pools were very nice, and having the marina there is also very convenient. Try to book a room in the 400 block, as they have balconies that overlook the larger pool and the ocean...very convenient and festive.

Nice, but not all that

The grounds were beautiful and exactly what we wanted, but for the price the room was very plain and did not have any amenities. I was promised a jacuzzi tub and had a shower with barely any water pressure. The blinds fell in my hands when i tried to open them. There was no phone and although it says resort, this is not a resort. There is no room service, no towel service. Nice for a get away and to swim in the pool but if you are planning to stay in your room, dont go here!
