Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 97Fantastic Hotel!
Well situated at the upper portion of Key Largo... No beach, but who needs it with a great pool and sundeck and the adjacent marina! Good complimentary breakfast for the money. Great access to fishing snorkling and SCUBA boats.

Beds were comfortable, tile floors were clean, ceiling fan was nice, no problems parking, close to Pennycamp, free continental breakfast was perfect. The only draw back were there wasn't a room safe.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 97O.K FOR THE PRICE
GREAT HOTEL FOR THE PRICE/POOL REALLY NEEDS TO BE UP DATED.ALSO TOO MANY SCUBA DIVERS IN POOL AREA IN MORNING HOURS. ALSO THE BREAKFAST MENU IS THE SAME EVERYDAY .IF PLAN TO STAY THERE MORE THEN A WEEK YOU'LL GET SICK OF THE BREAKFAST. THE GYM IS KIND OF SMALL BUT NOT TO MANY PEOPLE USE IT. THE STUDIO ROOM WAS NICE ,ME AND THE KIDS HAD LOTS OF SPACE.A FULL KITCHEN THATS A PLUS.BUT REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR "POTS" ALSO FIRST NIGHT WE ARRIVED I HAD TO KILL A BIG ROACH .I THINK THE ROACH CAME BECAUSE THE SUGAR SOAP OF BATH&BODY SOAP THEY GIVE YOU.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 97Great room for the money
Although others complained about this place I thought it was quite good for the price and found the complimentary breakfast to have moreselection than expected selection, though packed in a bit early (9:30AM) Would definately stay again, but request a room away from the nightclub area (which I lucked into on this occasion) as that area looked to be noisy.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 97Location-Location-Location
The location of this Hotel is perfect. Just off the main road (RT 1). We had a studio-suite which was quite large and plenty of space for 3 adults. Full kitchen, his and her sinks, fairly comfortable beds. The strange setup is the beds go one way and the TV faces the opposite way. (and the TV is seriously outdated) Front desk personal needs a serious wake-up call. Hotel manager was quite nice and accomodating. HOUSEKEEPING!!!!!!!!!!I can't say enough about. Upon returning to our room daily the room looked like it did when we checked in SERIOUS PROPS to the housekeepers. Hotel has a nice open air and air conditioned bar with a good happy hour. We didn't eat at the hotel but menu appeared quite expensive. (WAY to many other choices)......Check out TOWER PIZZA, and Harriett's you won't go broke and you will quite pleased with the home cooking at both places. Continental breakfast is limited but clean and enough to start your day. PS........don't expect to catch fish in September (I think they took the month off) Overall hotel was quite nice.

If you need just a place to sleep. Then this hotel is ok. If you are looking for a resort to relax in then pick somewhere else. Room was clean but very dated. Out side areas also dated and in disrepair. No internet except in lobby. The location was good for what we needed.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 12 of 97Nice facility, great room for the money, beautiful location
The Marina del Mar is an older hotel and a bit basic in its appointments and amenities but it was very comfortable and clean; the room was not huge but it was certainly comfortably sized. We looked right out onto the marina watching boats come in and out; there is a great little bar-restaurant on site with live entertainment, and it was quite a pleasant stay. The breakfast that was included in the price was just cereal - toast, but there's a nice Starbucks right across the road. Lots of good restaurants nearby.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 14 of 97Unpleasant welcome
Our welcome was not very pleasant, Odette at the front desk managed to ingnore us from the moment we walked in and finally aknowledged us after about 10 minutes of waiting with the question "do need towels?" in the meantime, she was having a very friendly conversation with the person that was checking in. When she was finally done with him, she was very short with us, not welcoming us to the hotel. Not a great first impression, and kind of annoying when you just drove 12 hours to get there. The room was great, had a full size kitchin I was not aware of when I booked. Very convenient, if it only would have had pots and pans. And after the experience with Odette, we really did not want to go back to the front desk to ask for some.... The room was clean and big, great view, great location if you want to explore the Keys.
