Trip Type: Not Provided Review 1 of 8unacceptable
If it were a hostel it would be acceptable but it is not good value as an hotel. The beds are uncomfortable, the floors are not clean, the bathroom was marginally clean; and I would not want the blankets to touch my body. This hotel is not just old and shabby; it is really grotty and without charm. The only positives are that the staff is very helpful and the location is good. I am a minimalist when it comes to hotels but this one does not meet my basic standards.

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 8Cheap and Old
This is a very cheap hotel, wouldn,t recomment staying over one night. The beds are hard as a rock. The bed sheets were not changed and had stains on them. Every bone in your body will hurt the next day, that is if you are able to sleep at all. The water is mostly cold, not warm. This holet is very old and needs to be remodeled. Dont take big luggage because the elevadors cant fit more than 4 people. The people were nice, too bad its such a crappy hotel.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 8Met my needs
Located near underground, supermarket next door, internet cafe next block, safe neighborhood, restaurant in hotel and many others along street. Building is old and rather run down but room was clean and staff was friendly and very helpful when I had a problem.Elevator, TV, phone, private bath--only thing I missed was a hot pot in room to make tea.

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 8Wouldn't recommend it
The hotel was in a great part of town and near the Tube, but this is where the positives end. The rooms were tiny, the bathrooms were tiny, the carpet was ripped everywhere, and apparently the internet rate on hotels.com didn't include breakfast. It caters to European teenage groups, who tend to stay up until 02:00 a.m. banging doors and talk loudly through the paper-thin walls. I stayed there because it was cheap but in the end I got no sleep. Spend a little extra cash and go somewhere else.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 5 of 8Only good thing about this hotel is the location
The hotel is located close to two tube stops, near Hyde Park, and has many decent places to eat and food shop. The actual hotel, on the other hand, is lacking in everything. The room was small, not an issue for one person, the TV was even smaller :-), the bed was hard as a rock. Don't, under any circumstances, let them put you in a room facing Cromwell Rd. If you are used to quiet, you'll be kept awake all night-the traffic never dies down. There is no internet access in the room, and the Internet lounge was down. The clerks at reception did not know how to smile. They were friendly enough-just enough to answer basic questions, but no personality whatsoever. The window opens-a little-and it was so warm in the hotel, I had to look outside to see what people were wearing to figure out how to dress. Basically, I felt like I was in a large coffin. Luckily, I was not in the room for long. I stayed out as long as I could and I was out by 9:30 AM. There is also a notice that if you have large items, like computers, to take them with you as they are not responsible if they are stolen. This didn't fill me with security. I wasn't about to sightsee all dat lugging my laptop along. Anyway, if you are on a budget and just need a place to crash, then this is OK. If you want ANY type of amenity, stay away.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 6 of 8Do not stay here!
This hotel was falling apart. In some areas the carpet was worn down to the wood beneath. It was dirty. Every where posted were signs indicating to not leave any valuables in your room. Beds were hard as rocks and I wondered if the sheets had even been changed. It wasnt worth saving money to stay in a place like that.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 7 of 8a place to stay overnight
Reception: both ladies were very attentive and willing to help; the "night watch" (an older guy), on the contrary, was rather not caring. The floor carpet at the lobby and corridors smells badly and needs urgent replacement.
