Tipo de viaje: Business Reseña 1 de 6WOW !!! What a place!!!
Know this is going to be a lot of reading before you get started. I was going to New Orleans for a business trip and wanted to stay someplace different than the typical Hilton or Marriott. When I read the reviews of the bed-and-breakfast and checked out the website, I thought that I had found both an interesting place and one where previous customers were satisfied. I cannot tell you how memorable my stay was this trip. The last couple of trips to New Orleans I stayed in your typical high-rise hotel off of Canal Street and even though I remember where I stayed, I can't tell you anything about those hotels. I guess that means that they were boring. The Magnolia Mansion is anything but boring. This place is spectacular. A 150-year-old structure, hardwood floors, 16 foot ceilings, 11 foot tall doors, crystal chandeliers, a fireplace in virtually every room, incredibly nice-but not over the top-staff, comfortable beds, air conditioning, free snacks and water, the list goes on and on. If there is one detractor from this mansion, it is the location. Riverwalk, the Superdome, Bourbon Street, and shopping are not within walking distance. This mansion is an older neighborhood in the Garden District and you have to drive to see all those other things. It's a very short drive though-only about 5 to 10 minutes to any of them. So if you plan on getting drunk on Bourbon Street, make sure you take a taxi or have a designated driver. If you're into old architecture and historic homes, or if you just want to feel like you're a millionaire, you really don't want to miss the Magnolia Mansion. I stayed in a room called the Bordello Moulin Rouge. Trust me, it looks exactly like the picture-simply gorgeous. I stayed there by myself on this trip, but I can see how romantic a place like this would be for couples. I was talking with Tim, the Manager, about the history of the mansion and was just fascinated. It has such a rich, storied past and has been on the Today Show, in a documentary, a

Tipo de viaje: Special Event Reseña 3 de 6Great Location! Excellent Service!
We went to college in New Orleans, so we were familiar with the neighborhood. It's just a block off of St. Charles,a $5 cab ride to Bourbon Street and Magazine Street is just a 5 minute walk The service was out of this world! It was very hospitable and quaint. We stayed in a Queen Standard room named, Jean Laffitte's Hideaway. It was a little touristy, but comfortable. At the end of our stay, the owner showed us a couple of the "bigger" rooms which were elaborate and really creatively decorated. On our next visit, we will probably stay at the Magnolia Mansion again!

If you want to have access to the French Quarter but not sleep there, be able to ride the streercar and take a long walk, then this place is for you. The service is completely personal and the mansion is enchanting. We had a wonderful time.

Tipo de viaje: Romance Reseña 6 de 6A Great Hotel To Remember
Walking into the entryway of this hotel is like stepping back in time. Everywhere you turn you are surrounded by very elegant history. It is the most romantic hotel we have ever stayed in. Both Holly and Lindsey were great in getting us dinner reservations at some of the best places in New Orleans. Overall it was a great stay
