Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 95Great Hotel; Better Price; Best Value
My wife and I visited New Mexico for 10 days. The first two nights were spent at this motel in Santa Fe. There was nothing that we could have reasonably wanted that this hotel did not provide. The staff was gracious, and friendly, and helpful - qualities that you do not always find at the more expensive hotels/motels. The only thing missing at this hotel was the exorbitant price. The Luxury Inn is not in the downtown area - a plus in my mind given the congestion and limited parking in the downtown area - but is conveniently located on a major road with easy connections to downtown. I will always stay at this hotel on future trips to Santa Fe, and will recommend the Luxury Inn to all.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 95Luxury Hotel In Santa Fe
The Hotel was not a 4 star hotel but was clean, quiet, and met our needs. I was mistakenly booked for a Smoking room and was quickly given a Non Smoking room with no problem. There was a pool and Jacuzzi, Internet access, continental breakfast and vending machines. Also a microwave in the lounge. Close to shopping and resturants by walking. The city bus picks up down the street and runs all day long until 11pm to take you to the Santa Fe Plaza. I would stay there again.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 95Good room for the price
Four of us stayed in one room. Good thing we were friends :) The hotel really made efforts to keep rooms clean. The hotel is older and a little shabby but it was all we needed and it was very quiet. Pool was clean. Tecolote was good breakfast - agree that bakery basket was great. Maria's only had ground beef not shredded but food was good. In Taos Michael's Kitchen was great. Rellenos Cafe does not have chipotle choc cake - told us to go to Anthony's but traffic was horrible. Nambe Falls was a nice hike - go early morning - also the Tram. Loretto Chapel was simply awesome. The music in the Plaza was bad. Been there, done that - Santa Fe and Taos are tourist towns and Luxury Inn was a good place to stay if you're on a budget.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 11 of 95Ghastly experience
When we arrived at the hotel, there seemed to be a lot of time spent finding our reservation despite the fact that I had a printout with all pertinent information on it. Additionally, they gave a smoking room, something we did not want. They refused to change the reservation to a non-smoking room, claiming that they had no other rooms available, when it was obvious that the motel was hardly occupied. We were so disappointed in this motel that we left Santa Fe (my spouse's birthplace) after only 1 night and vowed to avoid this motel in the future.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 95Nice Hotel-Very Unfriendly Manager
We checked in very late at night and the desk person on duty was very nice. The hotel was very clean and even a little charming and the room was satisfactory. BUT, the next morning when i came downstairs to ask a question at the front desk, I was greeted by a very unhappy, stern and unfriendly looking person that turned out to be the MANAGER. Pauline was her name and I had the occasion to ask her three questions that morning and each time she glared at me from over the top of her glasses and gave me a very short, grumpy answer. CHANGE THIS MANAGER!!!

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 95Good Deal
This hotel was better than expected for the rate I reserved it for. I was a little concerned at what we would find upon opening the door, but it was clean (I'm a germ freak) and comfortable enough. The furniture and bathroom fixtures were dated, but worked fine. I would stay here again; we were out all day and only needed a clean place to sleep.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 14 of 95Good room for the money
Room clerk was nice but not overly courteous. Additional cost of $1.15 per room was asked for to be applied to motel electricity costs - - in fine print of contract - - if the $1.15 had been placed in the initial price of the motel cost, we would have stayed there anyway. Room was very large and comfortable. Breakfast was more than the continental breakfast stated in the motel information, with a waffle machine provided.
