did not like been sent to the back

after check in I had to pack up in my car again and drive towards the back of the hotel up the hill , I guess it would have been ok if it wasn't for the horrible dog smell in the first floor entrance to my room in the second floor , once in my room there was a beautiful view to 405 and sunset and the funny smell gone , over all ok

Stay away unless only thing you want is Spa

I stayed there with my wife and 2 year old daughter. I requested a kid friendly area/room while checking-in and was given a room at upper level (I think they call it Spa level). The room was very-very small. Immediately after that another friend(alone) checked-in and requested/got room in same building & same floor. Guess what, my friend's room was more spacious than mine. Wow!! pretty smart of the front-desk person, Did she really think that kid-friendly means less space??? Good: 1. Location, very convenient access from 405. Bad: 1. Motel type of feeling. 2. Very small size room. 3. Expensive Valle Parking. Even after paying paying expensive daily parking, I'd prefer park car Myself. There was ample parking space, really no need of Valle. Most of times I had to wait for this person to get my car out. Once I waited for 10 minutes, not good when I was already running late.

Nice hotel but maybe it's a little over priced..

The hotel's interior was very nice. Exterior looked a little old.. Only thing that I didn't satisfied was they over charged for a lot of things. It was prepaid but by the time when I checked out the room, they charged me another almost $100. It was part of my fault that I didn't really check what did they charged me for, but a few days later when I saw the receipt again, I found out that I got over charged. Hotel stuff were ok.. I needed some help and asked one of them but she was not helpful at all.. They act professional but they were not friendly at all and seemed very cold. I might recommend my friends this hotel, but I would let them know to be careful about what they charge you for.

Highly Recommended

I've stayed at this hotel on several occasions and have always been pleased (and I'm not easy to please). The staff are friendly and very helpful. The location is great if you're interested in the west LA, Brentwood and Santa Monica area, but don't care about being right on the beach. The atmosphere of the hotel is very serene and quiet and great for business travelers. You can actually relax at the end of the day. This is an older hotel that has been remodeled and redecorated so it is very comfortable. The sound-proofing is great. We had a room right off the lobby and didn't hear a thing. By booking through Hotels.com, we got a better rate than listed on the hotel's website.

Beautiful place needing sound proofing

Beautiful hotel, very stylish, nice view from the patios, perfect service, great location. One big disappointment - very thin walls, we could hear people in rooms on both sides talking.

Very Nice Place

The location was super convenient and our room was huge! We asked for a room "up the hill" near the pool which worked out great. Would definitely stay there again.
