We loved our stay here. The staff was so friendly. The pool was huge. My husband couldn't even find me one afternoon. The food is really good too, try the breakfast buffet...it's worth it.

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 4Great Hotel with Spectatular Pool/ View/Grounds
Beautiful hotel, really great/fun pool and loved the hotel bar which is on the second floor overlooking the pool and ocean. Hotel fitness center is free and is very nice too. Prices at hotel for drinks/food are a little expensive once the service charge and tax is added on but nothing more than is typical for such a nice resort. You just need to factor in the service charge (10 %) when you tip. The only cons ... not great beach (there are white sandy beaches within short driving distance though), no hot tub and the tour center representatives could have been a little more helpful. They only contract with one company so you don't hear about all the other company's that have similar and sometimes better trips available (i.e., zip-liner, snorkeling trip, etc.).

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 4A Perfect Hotel
I can't believe some people did not like this place. This place is tremendous. The grounds, land scaping, the mediaterranean look and structure....WOW. Plus is you know of quality of fixtures/lighting bedding etc. again WOW. As you know...in Costa Rica/Jaco, one can find some cheap food. I do not like spending NYC prices in a foreign country. If it was a business trip (and I had that visa), I would have spent it. But being it was not, we drove to Jaco and ate over there. So if anythink is wrong with this place...little pricey on the food.
