Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 156this hotel was HORRIBLE
i had reserved for a two bed room one week in advance. when i got there to check in, they only had one bed when i specially ask and reserved for two, they said that one of their workers must of did a typo and put one bedroom for me only! because it was monster massive week, all the two bedroom were filled already so i was stuck with one bedroom. after checking in with the hotel for my room and coming back from the monster massive event, there was no parking spot at all and i have to literally park a block away. the parking was very small with two parking stall full of unused appliance and woods. i was not satisfy and come to it, the manager knocks out door to wake us up when check out was still another hour. they forgot to change their time backwards which woke me up from my sleep. made service, made place, i wouldnt pay for it if it was for free.

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 156Terrible Hotel
i did not know on booking that this was a "hostel". There was yelling and screaming and running by these young people all day and night. The front desk did not seem to care. I stayed ther one night out of 5 because the enviroment was so bad. My car was damaged due their negligence by having legal parking spaces so close to where you turn into the narrow road to get to the back parking lot, I scapped my bumper on the fence. I am still trying to contact the manager/ owner to settle this I have received no return calls from him. I would never stay or recommend this to others!!!

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 156Try It, You,ll Like It!
The Hotel name say's it all. "ADVENTURER" Hotel. If your a bit adventurous, you'll love it. It is a popular place to stay with "World Travelers." Your are liable to meet people from all over the world. They have a nice little restaurant with full bar. The people that work there are exceptionally nice. There is a nice pool, and a Large covered patio area, with many tables, an outside bar, pool tables, video games, and many computers that are available for the guests. They also have Hostels available and get many world trekking back packers. It's a fun place. The rooms are big, suites separate bedrooms, from living rooms. Units have small refrigerators, and sinks. The beds are not uncomfortable; however some squeak. Our stay was great, except for a drunk falling against our front window, and shattering it. Its a good thing the thick curtains were closed at the time, or my wife would of ended up with a stranger in her lap. Considering everything, I do reccomend this hotel, and will stay again. By the way, its only 5 minutes from LAX, and only about 15 minutes to Marina Del Ray, Venice, and Santa Monica Beaches

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 156Needs more improvement
It was a last minute thing. We didn't decide to leave town until 3pm.. Our drive was 3 to 4 hours. When I stopped outside to check in.. I thought, what did I get myself into... it was dark, grassey, and scarey. When we found our parking place, which was okay, locked and safe. We got the 2nd floor, two beds. When we walked into the room, it wasn't bad, could of been better. The next night I stayed at Wilshire Grand Hotel, I only paid 20 dollars more, it was a 3 star hotel, perfect, But it was a last minute booking. The room had a little smell to it, but after staying there, it went away. My only BIG problem was, around 1am, there was people yelling, laughing, talking outside out door. I was like, they were hanging out, getting drunk or having a party. I was too tired to call to complain. It was so bad, It felt as if they were outside my door. The airplane was flying every 20 mins, all night, it didn't bother me as much as the party outside. I wounldn't stay there again, it was a one time experiance.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 9 of 156Hotel of Ants and Springs
Imagine our surprise to realize the cleanest part of the hotel was the swimming pool. However, no one was swimming in it. The water came out brown. I think we would prefer to shower in the ocean. The bed felt like we were laying directly on springs. I realize that it is only rated a 1 star, but the price should probably only be 19.95 a night.....

Value for price was good. Very interesting hotel. Great for younger (21 - 30 year olds).

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 11 of 156lots of free stuff, but dirty room, got ants in my suite...
I stayed there for two nights. The first night I got a room that had ants all over places--including my bed...it was horrible...and when I complained to the cleaning staff, turned out that the maid didn't speak English:( The second night I got a new room that was ok. But with the previous experience, I couldn't feel too comfortable... They do offer a lot of free stuff: breakfast, drinks, internet, to name a few. So if you are looking for cheap motel with complimentary stuff, go ahead. Otherwise...

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 156Great Hotel for the money
It is nothing nice to look at until you get inside. The hotel is bursting with a fun and relaxed ambiance. The rooms are clean and ours actually had a 50" flatscreen TV!? We had an slight ant problem but they were very helpful with a prompt room change. The staff were creepy looking but helpful! Free champagne was a nice addition. The free dinner buffet was fries, chips, tater tots and cake...but that seemed to be satisfying the hungry backpackers :-) It didnt look like the best place for young children but we would go back without the kids.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 156Great room for the money
The only hotel in LA with two separated bedrooms for this price. Although they charged me for the early check-in, it was better than I expected (even with all bad reviews posted here). The name of the hotel is different on local, take care when try to go there by car...

Trip Type: Special Event Review 14 of 156If traveling with friends this may be the place for you.
As I was driving around looking for the motel I will admit that I was pretty nervous. It didn't seam like it was in a good part of town and I was staying by myself and worried about my rental car. When I finally pulled into the motel I did have a better feeling. I knew that my car should be safe. The employees were nice, however, the room was pretty nasty, keep in mind I'm a huge germ freak. I know some of my friends wouldn't have thought twice about the room. If you're looking for a cheap place to stay with friends, this place would be really fun. The way the pool is set up outside with the bar and outside computers with internet it looked like a fun to place to hangout and meet people. A bunch of younger people were out doing just that. It seemed like it was a place four tourists.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 156More than what it seems!
When we pulled into this hotel at around 2am, we were almost ready to turn around and find another hotel. The outside drive has very much to be desired. However, when my husband and I got checked in and discovered the ammenities, friendly staff, and the overall relaxed environment of the hotel, we quickly changed our minds. Never before have we ever felt so welcome to hang out around the pool for hours drinking coffee and mingling with other guests (from around the world). The rooms are a little run down but the overall experience will definitely be repeated in the future.
