Very reasonable

Not the fanciest hotel but it's nice to have your own little house with more privacy. The service was great and the restaurant had some good dishes. The pool was cold but the hot tub was gigantic. Great location. Overall we were very satisfied for the price we paid.

Nice cabins at the Volcano

PROS: It was nice having individual cabins with front and back porches, the bathroom and shower were huge, the view of the volcano was amazing, the staff was friendly especially if you speak spanish (the front desk staff speak english very well), the bar and restaurant area were nice with a great view of the volcano, the food was pretty good. CONS: The drive from the main road to the hotel is a little rutted and about 1KM long, there are no TVs in the rooms, the safe didn't work. Overall a nice stay and we will be staying there again.

OMG..Loved it!

The bungalow we stayed in was perfect. From our back porch we had a direct and amazing view of the Volcano. The shower was amazing, the beds were comfortable. We could here Howler monkeys in the distance. The one sad part was we didn't have hot water our last night, nor early the next morning, and it was when reception was closed so we had no one to talk to. But that was the only bad part. Otherwise, for us the location was great, and super quick to get to the city center since we had a car. We took a cab once from the city center and it was cheap.

Great Stay

We loved our stay at Lomas del Volcan. Originally we planned to stay for one night but ended up requesting an additional day because we loved the cabin and its surroundings. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Las Lomas review

Full of tour buses, staff reluctantly helpful, no special charm but a reasonably priced and clean hotel. Good view of the volcano but not on the active side.

Great Hotel, secluded location

The hotel and surrounding scenery were beautiful!! The service was great and we really enjoyed our stay. However, it is located way off the main road and unless you are okay with walking on muddy, rocky unpaved road it is not walking distance to anything. You must take a taxi to leave the hotel.

We enjoyed the howler monkeys outside our window. GOOD location beneath Arenal and blessedly HOT water in the shower.

Very nice hotel, would be much better with good food in the restaurant

The room was nice, the view was impressive and the jacuzzi was fine. However, the restaurant was ot good but La Fortuna is close, so you can always go there to eat.
