Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 354Excellent Ambiance
Lovely property with old-time New Orleans ambiance. If you can grab a room with a view, it's the cherry on top!

Excellent hotel. Room was large and very comfortable. Jazz theme was subdued. Close to everything near the French Quarter. Wonderful restaurants nearby. The only negative comment I would make is that parking is over thirty dollars a night and was not included in our room package. Otherwise, I would give it 5 stars.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 4 of 354Wonderful!
One of the nicest hotel stays I've had recently. The room was large and comfortable, the restaurant serves great food and the staff was uniformly helpful and friendly. Expect to pay for both parking and internet at rates typical for downtown hotels of this type. Great views of the river and an easy walk to the French Quarter.

The doormen were very courteous and accommodating. The room was neat and comfortable. I especially liked the separate bath and shower. The coffee was delicious.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 10 of 354Very Nice Hotel
The rooms were large and comfortable. I think the bathrooms would be more efficient if they had some storage for your toiletries but everything had to go on the counter of the sink because they had no shelves, drawers or cabinets. Also it woud have been nice if they included breakfast, even a continental breakfast, but they did not. Otherwise, the hotel staff were wonderful and the rooms were beautiful.

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 354Great Stay (It made me look good)
My wife had never been to New Orleans so for our second anniversary (Our first was a cruise), we took a train, which she had never taken, from Memphis to New Orleans. The train ride was long but good. The last thing I wanted was for us to have a problem with the accommodations. To my surprise, It went as smooth as it ever has. The room was great, the location was outstanding, the people were fantastic. We were treated almost like royalty, it was as if they expected us and were looking for us. Thanks for all the reviews, they were right on point. Thanks Hotels.com.

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 354Fa-Fa-Fa-Fabulous!!!!
The room, the staff, the location, the price could not have been more appealing. Not only did staff greet you everytime they saw you BY NAME, they were helpful about surrounding area and transportation opportunitites. I will definitly stay here again if I go to New Orleans. My grandson and I were very surprised Lowes was 10 times better than the no name hotel we stayed in while in New York.

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 354Shower was strange
We had difficulty adjusting the shower to the right temperature and the water did not drain well, so you were standing in a bath while showering...

Trip Type: Special Event Review 15 of 354Great staff, great food, not so great bathroom
The service and staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, they really make it worth the stay. The bar attached to the hotel had amazing food (really, even in New Orleans where good food is abundant.) Get the shrimp corn dogs! The room was nice, very large and clean. The only reason I didn't rate it higher is because the bathroom could use some updating. Anyway, I would definitely recommend staying there. It is a short walk to the quarter and other great neighborhoods that should be explored.
