L'Ile Saint Martin

Description

Location. The marina resort of L'Ile Saint Martin is located in the yachting harbour Cap d'Agde, France, within one kilometre of the beach and five kilometres of Agde village. Beziers is 15 kilometres away and Montpelier is at a distance of 60 kilometres.

Hotel Features. L'Ile Saint Martin is located on a five acre, car-free island. The resort features a range of waterside residences with private moorings and sea or harbour views. Each residence can be accessed via an underground road and has its own garage and parking lot. There is a casino within the resort as well as boutiques and grocery shops.

There are 14 kilometres of bays and supervised beaches around Cap d'Agde offering a variety of watery activities, including scuba-diving, water skiing and sailing. Close by there is a golf course, an internationally renowned tennis centre and a number of amusement parks. Horse riding and scooter rentals are also available.

Guestrooms. All 42 air-conditioned waterside dwellings are built in typical Languedoc style and provide more than 120 square metres of living space. Each villa has an enclosed garden in which there is a hot tub. In addition the villas are equipped with a landing stage and a private dock area for boats up to 24 metres in length. Decor is contemporary and all homes have flatscreen satellite television, DVD players, electronic shutters and individual alarm systems. Kitchens are complete with American-style fridges, dishwashers, microwaves, washing machines and tumble dryers. Private bathrooms provide extra towels. Housekeeping, linen rental, catering services and baby equipment is available.

Expert Tip. Gastronomic delights abound in this region of France. Try stuffed mussels and clams, or monkfish cooked in a stew known as bourride - all delicious when washed down with the local wine, either Daumas Gassac Rouge or Coteau du Langedoc.
