Friendly Staff, Great Location & Impressive amenitites

There was never more than a 5 minute wait to speak with anyone at the front desk. They were helpful and alays in a cheerful mood. My wife and I were celebrating our 1 year anniversary and the only time we took a cab was to go to dinner on Saturday night. We walked everywhere the entire weekend. Finally, the restaurants and bar/lounge area in the hotel are impressive. From brunch to burgers to a drink with friends, this hotel has it all under one roof.

Poor service mediocre pool

Called room service for Ice took 20 mins--asked housekeeping not to change my sheets--didn't make the bed---pool is tiny and locker facilties were not clean. Hotel has gone for groovy transformation while somewhat chic rooms are small. Bellman service was good and of course Normas is excellent. I wouldn't stay there again.

Great neighborhood, just a couple blocks from Central Park, yet surprisingly quiet. Clean, wonderful staff and safe area.

Time for an Upgrade

A once outstanding hotel has slipped into mediocracy. The location is convenient; but air conditioning that's not adjustable, rooms that are becoming worn, and the so-so service is not. There are better options at this price point.

Great Hotel

The hotel was welcoming, efficient and comfortable. I found the rooms really comfortable and the staff really nice. Burgers in the little hamburger joint were great but I guess I do roll my eyes at $75 for 2 people for 2 breakfast omelets!

near perfect

everything was better than we would have hoped except just one complaint...the down comforter had a hard chocolate like stain on it..so luckily it was summer and I didn't need it besides this it was great..Oh and the shower floor was interesting kind of a water bed like feel..the room it self was very clean I didn't even bring out my slippers.The staff were very helpful and sweet..I would absolutely come stay again..
