amazing hotels

This hotel was amazing. from the moment we checked in, every single thing was perfect. the service, the beach, the pool and the spa are outstanding.

Great room for the money

I love the location of the hotel - not too close to downtown, yet close enough to not spend too much on taxi. This was our first time in Cancun, and since we have a teenage daughter, didn't want to be too far from all the happenings. We have stayed at all-inclusive hotels when she was younger, but now we feel the adventure of tasting the local cuisine. Too many times, all inclusive "food" was always fused to American convenience. The staff was excellent, but then again, the customer service and the overall friendliness of the Cancun-ites, were way beyond any tourist would expect. We can't remember their names, but from the bell hop to the pool waiter, they were just all very accomodating. Our trip was topped by the experience of helping a mother turtle lay her eggs at the hotel's beach. The hotel had specific fenced area to gently transfer the eggs to this secured area - away from the public. We definitely decided to go back to Cancun again, and stay at this hotel. I have recommended to friends who will be going in the Spring.

Great Hotel!

This is a great hotel, the rooms were amazing, the resort is great and the staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! Definitely great value for money!

Cool and calm

One of my favorite things about Le Meridien Resort was the calming sandalwood fragrance that hit you when you walked in the door! We enjoyed our room, the very polite and helpful staff, the pools, and the beautiful beach. It was a great central location, and a good base for exploring the area. I only have two minor complaints: 1) food was very expensive at the hotel's two restaurants, although that seemed typical throughout the hotel zone; and 2) there was a hotel being constructed directly next door (to the south), but the audible and visual noise was surprisingly minimal. We will definitely return to this hotel; we very much enjoyed our stay.

Much needed R&R; great customer service

My boyfriend and I "escaped" to Cancun for one night to celebrate our 2 year anniversary and part of the driving force was the great rate at this hotel that had consistent great reviews! (Beat shooting down to Miami!) The reviews were very reflective of our experience as well! Greeted with towels to clean our hands and a yummy orange frozen beverage; upon checkin got upgraded to a room with a beautiful ocean view overlooking the pools; we relaxed poolside and then got into the warm salt-water pools as the sun set. It was beautiful. Poolside staff was attentive (even made honey mustard for us!). Hotel was not at full occupancy so not overcrowded---kinda felt like you were in your own space, just a few other couples. The next day we woke up and had breakfast buffet on patio with ocean view which had lots of tasty selections and again very attentive staff. A late check-out was granted, no questions asked! Made it easier to enjoy our final hours before our afternoon flight. We would definitely stay here again---especially at these rates!

Outstanding Stay

I recently stayed a week at The Le Meridien Cancun Resort and Spa and enjoyed every minute. The hotel staff was friendly and always helpful. The pool was beautiful with the ocean within walking distance. Very close to restaurants and nightlife.

Clean, Spacious, New Look, Restaurants, Pool

2 Negatives; First room: - The Air-Conditioning was not working. We were very patient but only problem was we didn't get back to the room until late so by the time I followed thier recommendation to set the temp to a much lower mark and wait, we were exhausted and the kids were asleep already. They did offer to move us to another room but as you can tell that was not an option for us that late. We were given one night free stay in the biggest suite, including meals however so, that made up for the inconvenience! Hot Tub (Outdoors): - Was cold.

Great service but some limits as well.

Hotel had great service and was luxurious. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the pool-side restaurant is also good. The rooms are nice and are relatively plush. The pools are very nice and the chaise lounges around the pool are very comfortable. On the down side: there is a hotel being built next door. The new hotel blocks the light at the pool area by about 3pm. The noise from the construction was minor and not really distracting while we were there. Some days the pool area got very crowded with limited chaise available and no towels. The children's club (penguin club) is also not very well run.

Outstanding Hotel

Thos hotel is very, very nice. It is smaller than the huge all inclusives so the staff can give you better service. The hotel and pool are very clean and well maintained. I've stayed at several hotels in Cancun and I think this is the best deal in town.

Great quiet location and lovely beach

Le Meridien was ideally located for a family of four that wanted a quiet vacation over Christmas. The weather was a bit windy, so the heated pools were a huge plus. The beach access wasn't corroded like some other hotels' and walking along the coast was lovely. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful; the concierge did a great job helping us plan our daytrips and recommending restaurants. Overall, this was a great stay and experience.

CANCUN'S VERY BEST HOTEL

the le meridien hotel is the very best that cancun has to offer. they pay attention to every detail and make you feel like royalty. this is about the 7th time i have stayed at this hotel and would not want to stay anywhere else. one time i did stay at another hotel, but was disappointed and the next day checked into le meridien. this hotel is not all inclusive which is good if you dont want to be bothered with crowds in the pools and at the beach. this hotel has a beautiful spa and their own beach lifeguard. this hotel also has serious security on its grounds.
