Trip Type: Special Event Review 1 of 22Nice Off Season Stay
This is a nice place to stay during the off season at Snowmass. It would have been nice to have been able to stay a little longer, but the place was very nice.

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 22Great value condo in Snowmass.
Ski in/out at Snowmass ski resort. Bit of a drive to Aspen. Very comfortable. Charcoal grill and fireplace.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 22I love this place and will be back.
We have found our place to stay in Snowmass. I've never written a review without saying anything bad about the place. Hmmm, ahhhh, ummmm. Oh, yeah. The bedroom closet door track needed replacing. The units are all individually owned, being rented by the homeowner's association management company. Some owners use them frequently, others haven't been in town for years. We stayed in one of the premium units that have been recently upgraded with granite countertops, solid oak 6-panel doors, cabinets, and trim and 2" wood blinds. Others may not have been upgraded since the '70s. Pay the extra for the premium room, ours was great. The studio was perfect for the 2 of us. A curtain comes out of the wall to seperate the bed area from the living room to provide some visual privacy for 2 couples or kids on the fold-out couch. There's a full kitchen, with dishes and all the cooking equipment you might need, but only one small sink. The counter can feed 6 in a pinch, 4 quite easily. The unit was spotless (the tub was even slippery when I took a bath). It was well lit, with a generous amount of recessed lighting. There's free parking across the street. You get a charcoal grill on the deck and free firewood for the fireplace. It's only a short walk to the mall for a meal or shopping, but be warned, the walk back uphill on a full stomach at 8100 feet above sea level is MUCH longer than the walk down. The office staff was happily helpful with directions and meal recommendations. If we had listened to them we would have avoided eating a terrible pizza over in Aspen.

We went up for Jazz Aspen Snowmass and found this hotel on this site-- we did not know what to expect but it was great! Friendly helpful staff- great rooms with beautiful views - great location (walking distance to village mall & bus stops- 3min bus ride to concert) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED-- YOU GET WAY MORE THAN YOU PAY FOR.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 22AMAZING hotel for the price!!!
With the low price we paid for this room I was not expecting great things, but when I walked in I was floored!! We had a full kitchen, living room area, bedroom that could be closed off, vanity area and bathroom as well as plenty of storage space! The only thing wrong with our room was a light burned out and they offered to come right up and fix it. The staff was extremely friendly and gave us maps and direction for the area since we had no idea what we were doing. Our room was clean and kept clean during our stay. I cannot recommend this enough. Addressing bad review: I knew we were going to get to the condo late on the day of our check-in and the other review made me nervous about the after-hours check-in. However, I emailed Larelwood and they promptly (within 5 hours) sent a response about their hours, and where our key would be for our after-hours check-in. NO problems there so don't let that stop you! Another thing I wish I would have known is that Laurelwood is within walking distance of the Snowmass Village mall that has great restaurants, coffee shop, stores, etc. You may not even need to go into Aspen as this is a great little area and much easier to navigate. You can also walk home just in case you have a few adult beverages. :)

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 22Be careful of the lower floor!
The Laurelwood staff was fine, the hot tub very nice and the location was great. The only problem (and it was pretty major) was the heat coming from the floor in our room (101). It was almost as if there were heating pipes running under it. We had to open our windows and leave the doors open to get to a comfortable temperature. We asked the staff who sent a maintenance person. He was nice, acted completed surprised but never returned or got back to us. I have a feeling it was a known issue that they couldn't do anything about. I DO NOT recommend room 101 and would do everything to not get that room.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 22Excellent
We stayed for a ski trip and enjoyed the location. Front door led to the hot tub, and back door opened to the ski slope (Snowmass) The kitchen was clean and well equipped. TV was smaller than I am used to, but we were skiing all day so that was not a big deal.

When we arrived at the hotel, the management staff was gone and we kept getting disconnected with hotels.com, given a wrong management number, couldn't get into the room for over an hour. We had small children with us and this was VERY inconvenient. When someone finally got a hold of the management company, we were told they dropped the ball and couldn't do anything for us, but did offer to bring us a bottle of wine. I'm not sure if we'll use this service again, it left a bad taste in our mouth for sure.
