Pleasant surprise

The front desk staff was very pleasent.Very nice Historic hotel with modern amenities.Long stem rose on bed was a nice touch.

The staff members were helpful; the business center was convenient; the room was beautiful and comfortable, and the hotel restaurant was just fabulous! The small plates were just what was needed at the end of a busy day and the freshness of the food and ingenuity of the chef are to be commended.

What a gem!

This hotel is amazing. It is beautifully decorated, and very vibrant! We stayed in the loft suite which was absolutely exquisite! We will DEFINITELY stay here again!!!

Room was a little bit smaller than we were expecting but that ws part of the simplistic decor. Loved the uniqueness of this hotel!

I Loved the Room

The hotel is an old factory/warehouse transformed into a very trendy hotel. Unfortunately, it is situated in an industrial are with a train yard across the street and a major ballpark nearby. Nonetheless, the hotel was wonderful with a friendly and courteous staff. The room was very unique with brick walls and a very tasteful almost industrial decor that was quite comfortable. The bathroom was marble with an ample size glass shower and stocked with all the usual amenities. Despite the neighborhood, I would certainly elect to stay at the Lancaster Arts Hotel if I am in the area again.

Outstanding Hotel

I can not even begin to tell you how wonderful this hotel is. From the outstanding room, the competent and friendly staff, to the outstanding breakfast buffet. My only regret is that Mary, who ran the breakfast buffet was off the day we checked out and I could not personally thank her for the great spread she put out for us each day, and her bright shiney disposition which greeted us each morning. We have stayed in hotels from Hawaii to Maine, and this was the best hotel room and hotel experience I have ever been exposed to. We stayed in the loft suite on the fifth floor, elegant. Forget about the area attractions, they are secondary to a stay at this hotel.

Exceptional Hotel Experience!

We weren't sure what we were going to get, but based on the reviews decided to give it a try. We were more than pleasantly surprised. The layout of the room was very well thought out and of very high workmanship. The grounds were small but incredibly well done with the courtyard and the garden at the back. A great place to relax. We needed to get to Hershey, PA and this location was very accessible to the highway, so not a problem at all. The neighborhood was peaceful and nice to walk through, even at night. All in all, a terrific experience at a great price. Would definitely recommend!

Great Hotel

Great experience, great location and the price wasn't much more than a typical chain hotel. Rose & chocolates were a nice touch and the shower only bathroom was different/very nice. Front desk clerk who checked us in was very nice and hepful - made sure we knew about the complimentary cab service to and from the hotel (anywhere w/in 5 miles), which is an awesome feature.

Outstanding property and location!

We stayed in the suite and loved everything about the room. The bed is comfortable, the robes are nice and warm, and the decor was very tasteful. It was great to be able to walk 3 or 4 blocks and find ourselves in the middle of gallery row.

Comfortable and pleasant hotel in spite of tough location

This hotel stay was disappointing only because I was there only one night! 'A very nice conversion appointed with lovely art that extended to the guest room interiors. Everything was well done - clean, friendly, good breakfast, bright, cheerful rooms. The view is not great and there's lots of nearby traffic, but that quickly was not an issue. This hotel is also an easy walk from the Amtrak station. Walking to the heart of downtown is not unpleasant and very reasonable for most persons. I would easily recommend this to travelers or locals seeking a nearby get-away.

Truly Luxurious Experience

Tremendous service, captivating atmosphere. Bed and bedding were divine. Turn down service was appreciated. Room appointments were exceptional, including wine refrigerator.

What a great find!

I found the Lancaster Arts Hotel on hotels.com almost by accident, but am I ever glad I did!! It was such a beautiful hotel and a great experience staying there! The decor and art throughout were wonderful. The staff was extremely helpful and competent, and you are within walking distance of many great places to eat and browse!
