Nice Resort directly on the Beach

Very nice Hotel Resort on the Beach. Rooms are big and very clean. Parking and Internet are free. Staff could be a little more friendlier.

Great roomm for the money

This hotels is kept in freat condition. Makes you feel like you are in a 5 star hotel at a 3 star price. The pool was clean and well kept. Great location on the beach. Not far from Los Olas were there are great restaurents and shops. Overal a great value.

Great One Stay

Although we only stayed one night we enjoyed the property before check-in and check-out which was really nice. The kids had a blast on the beach as well as in the pools. The also enjoyed the chess court and playground. Food was pricey in the grill considering it was pretty much all microwaved. But the food was good.

Great Hotel

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. A litle pricey, but hotel was very well maintained and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were nicely decorated and spacious. What I thought was a surprising nice touch was that we had a room close to the pool and I could hear pool chatter, laughter, etc. only when I opened the balcony door. Otherwise, when the door was closed I couldn't hear much at all. The hotel's beachfront location was just what we were looking for.

Not convenient

I loved Lago Mar because of its private beach. It was very clean, beautiful and relaxing. What I did not like was that the resort was a $15-$25 taxi ride from everything, such as shopping, bars, casino, restaurants, etc. Just to get to a nice restaurant cost us $60 round trip. There was nothing within walking distance. I did not want to drive so I purposefully did not rent a car, but we spent so much money on taxis and spent a lot of time waiting for them too.

Nice Hotel

Little disappointed that this was a special getaway for my wife and I and we were stuck with two full size beds as opposed to a king and they would not give us a room with a king. Other than that it was nice.

Very good

Very good, not top of the line. The rooms were nice. The bathrooms (in the rooms) were not great. The grounds, restaurant, and beach were awesome. Pools very good, but not 5 star

Needs Improvement

Hotel is nice, Rooms need updating. The Hotel requires you to place all charges on your room and will not accept cash at the restaurant or bars.

LACK OF COURTESY AND CONSIDERATION TOWARDS QUEST

THE HOTEL AND AMENITIES WHERE VERY GOOD EXCEPT THE SRVICE THAT WAS PROVIDED. THE FIRST BAD IMPRESSION WAS AT CHECK IN TIME. WHEN WE CALLED THEY SAID CHECK IN IS AT 4:00PM WHICH I THINK THAT IS PRETTY LATE, BUT THE FRONT DESK PERSON SAID WE NORMALY YOU CAN HAVE THE ROOMS AVAILABLE AT 2:00 WHICH IS NOT TO BAD. WE ARRIVED AT 1:30PM AND THEY SAID OUR ROOM WOULD BE READY SHORTLY, SO WE CHANGED IN THE LOBBY RESTROOM AND WHENT TO THE BEACH. AT 3:00PM WE DICIDED TO WAIT AT THE LOBBY FOR OUR ROOM BECOUSE WE WANTED TO UNPACK ANS SO FORTH. AFTER WATCHING OTHER PEOPLE WALKING IN AND GETTING THIER ROOM. MY 18 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER ASKED AT 3:49PM WHY OUR ROOM ISN'T READY AND WHY OTHER PEAPLE HAVE ROOMS AVAILABLE TO THEM, THE FRONT DESK PERSON BY THE NAME OF GREGORY TOLD HER IN A VERY UNPROFESSIONAL FASHION AND ROLLING HIS EYES THAT IT WAS BECAUSE IT WAS ANOTHER CLASS OF ROOM AND THAT IT WAS NOT 4:00PM YET. SO THATS WHEN I HAD TO STEP IN AND PUT HIM IN HIS PLACE. WE PAID FOR TWO NIGHTS BUT STAYED ONLY ONE. WE PAID FOR THE TWO NIGHTS IN ADVANCE. AND TWO DAYS LATER I SEE A CHARGE ON MY CARD FOR AN EXTRA 1/2 DAY. I HAD TO FAX THEM PROOF THAT THE TWO NIGHTS WHERE PAID AND THAT WE CHECKED OUT EARLY. THE ISN'T A BAD HOTEL BUT THEY HAVE EMPLOYEE ISSUES.
