could be good if some one took the time to care.

This is a hotel with a lot of potential but it is not met. Overall the experience was ok. It was our anniversary and we we going just to stay 1 night. we live in palm springs, and are members at the san diego zoo so we chose the hotel for location. The pictures they have are good and discription was interesting, and reviews were fairly good so we decided to give it a shot. we do not have big expectations on hotels and are very easy to please. i work in the service industry myself. when we went to check in they upgraded us to a buisness suite. I wish they had not. The maid had just finished cleaning it, but it smelled so strong of cigarettes even thought it was a non smoking room. also the couch had a huge tear in it and just looked dirty. The bathroom was also not something to be desired, it had mold in thr shower, and the sink look like it was tipping off the wall. we asked for a different room which they did give. from then on our experince was much better. I just don't understand why they would give that room in the first place. like I said has great potential if someone took the time to care.

Don't do it!

Hotel elevator was out of service my entire stay - 2 days. Hotel is dumpy and dingy. Business center has 1 very old computer with no printer. Fitness center is a joke.

Great room for the money

Location is everything. We decided to get this room for a last minute stay so that we could spend some time in the neighborhood and not have to drive home. The room rate was far below all of the others, which was questionable, but we decided to stay there anyways. I was really pleased with what we got for the money. It is nothing fancy and is a bit old but had everything that we needed, including a fridge and microwave, and a free breakfast. The hotel is quite charming and I would definately stay there again.

Good Spot for the Money

I really like the neighorhood - close to University Heights and Hillcrest, out of the fray of downtown. Staff was very nice and helpful - quiet, great pool. Adorably lobby, room was a little funky, but in comfortable, cozy kind of way. I will definitely return.

Perhaps Maybe--If you aren't worried about sleeping, great rate

The rate was great. The hotel itself beautiful. Just make sure you avoid room 104, it is right over the parking garage so it felt like an earthquake all night. And walls are paper thin we could hear our neighbors TV all night and the next morn. The room was fairly nice, there were some bugs that kept come through the bathroom (tiny, but not to my partners liking). The bar and the common areas great, beautiful. And free gate parking great. Security did a good job of making the loud talkers and the parties go away from outside of our window (and we didn't even ask for this). Also because of the renovations our door would stick so we'd have to give it a good old fashion shoulder push from time to time. I give the hotel 2.5 stars, for the money just below my expectations...especially since no one at the hotel asked how our stay was or if we needed anything. But continental breakfast AMAZING! So if you can't get a motel 6 or 8, this place is okay. Just bring your bug spray and AVOID room 104.

Great room for the money

For the price you couldn't ask for more. We had a great room at the far end of the pool so it wasnt noisey. You could have your doors open and enjoy the view. The room was comfortable and housekeeping kept things looking great.Overall we had a wonderful experience.

Great Hotel For The Money

Wasn't expecting such high quality on a price like this. Everything in the hotel was great starting with the parking, cleanliness, large pool, free breakfast and good size room with ac, tv, small refrigerator, coffee maker and something I wasn't expecting a microwave. This hotel is located near everything. A block away there is a convenient store and many fast food restaurants. I was there for 3 days with my husband and two kids and we enjoyed our stay very much. We would definitely come back.

It was great. The people are nice the rooms are big and great price! I expected less and got more. Definitely recommended it.

great location, price but ...

Bathroom shelves were falling off, so all out bathroom supplies kept falling off, my cologne bottle fell off and broke. Also found old ciggerette buds in the pull out
