Well Kept

Well kept, and a very good deal for the money. Not near downtown, but Santa Fe isn't very large, and it was easy enough to drive down there in the off-season when parking wasn't too big of a deal. I was quite comfortable and the room was nice and clean. My doggies were with me, and I am grateful not only for being allowed to have my furry family with me, but also for the quality of maintenance and cleanliness (as it is a pet-friendly hotel), and for the modern amenities like a coffee maker, microwave and mini-fridge.

Great Rooms for the Money

Although some have rated this hotel rather low I can honsetly say we were very pleased with the overall experience while we stayed the night here. The other comments seemed very nit picky to me, all things considered. The rooms were clean, staff was professional and polite and there was plenty of hot water at the peak morning hours. Considering what you could pay if you went further into Santa Fe, this was a good deal. If your needs require that everything be absoutely immaculate as if it were new, then plan on paying a lot more and going to one of the high end places with the snobs. This La Quinta was very nice at a very reasonable rate. If you're looking for a great place to lay your head for the evening with good rates then you've found it. It's not far from I-25 and has good restaurants within walking distance.

We actually rented two rooms since my mother and mother-in-law were traveling with us. We stay at this motel for 3 nights. The rooms were a little shabby but they were clean and comfortable. They were also very quite. It was convenient to local restaurants but was some distant from the plaza in Santa Fe. The only problem was in some of the amenities. One evening my mother wanted a diet drink so I went to the vending machines on our floor. They only had one selection for diet drink and it was empty so I checked then next floor down and they didn't even have a selection for diet drinks. I checked elsewhere in the four building complex and couldn't find any other vending machines. I asked the desk clerk where I could buy a diet drink. He told me the nearest place to get one was three blocks away across a 4 land highway. When I asked why there wasn't a better selection and more vending machines for so many buildings he said the management had been told but that's just the way it was. The same thing occurred with luggage carts. We have a lot of medical equipment that needs to be moved as well as luggage and the available handicap parking was quite a way from the elevator. There were only 2 luggage carts for the 4 buildings as far as I could tell and they were constantly in use. n These were annoyances but impacted how we viewed the stay.

this is really good hotel, considering how much i paid. the room is clean and the breakfast is good. It is meaningful to point out that there is a bus running from the hotel to downtown. (it is no.2 bus; bus stop is at the back of the hotel; and the charge is only $1)

Excellent check in and check out. The staff made me feel important. The carpte needs an upgrade.
