Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 1 of 51Very comfortable, great price and location
It was a great room and very comfortable. We arrived late and we're happy to get in our clean and nice room. it was a very reasonable rate.

Room was dirty for a La Quinta. Not what I expected. Burn holes in the carpet from cigarettes and cigars. Claimed that the room was non-smoking, but the room smelled of smoke. Was really bad. They were not willing to change the room. Requested a room on the first floor, but would only give me a room on the 3rd floor. They were not willing to change even though the hotel was probably less the half full.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 3 of 51Great room for the money
I was going to stay at one of the higher-rated hotels in the area, but this room was about half the price and the pictures of the room looked pretty good so I gave it a shot. The room was large, very clean, and looked recently updated. The hotel itself was nice and seemed safe. The location was close to the freeway and easy to get to, but not so close that you could hear the traffic. Its not a luxurious place, but for the money you can't beat it. The bed was a bit firm for my taste, but not so much that I had a hard time sleeping on it. Room had a fridge, microwave, coffee pot, free wireless internet, and the TV had a good selection of movies and video games.

Pros: Free Internet, free breakfast and free parking. Cons: Dirty/stuffy room, cold "heated" pool, a bachlorette party above our room, construction going on down the hall, smokers in the pool area that aren't even swimming, easy check out on TV wasn't working... The list goes on. Other notes: We are not picky people when it comes to this stuff. A clean room is not much to ask for. Even a quiet night of sleep is what people expect from a decent hotel. We would not recommend this place to our friends.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 8 of 51Served our needs nicely!
We were very comfortable for our one night stay. We were visiting an old friend and were able to dine and have coffee within a very close distance. The breakfast was perfect before we completed our drive home. We would certainly recommend this hotel to others.

My only suggestion would be to update your photos on the web site for the breakfast. They had pictures of a full breakfast when it's only continental.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 11 of 51La Quinta Hotel
Excellent location in Thousand Oaks. Great breakfast, internet service. Our hotel room did not have hooks or a closet to hang clothes. Some of the rooms had armoires. Lovely pool area, but Sunday morning it was locked until 8:45 when I called. It was supposed to open at 8 A.m. each day. Staff could not find a key and at 10 it was still locked. I believe that was because it was Sunday and probably a regular employee was off work. Staff friendly. If you want to stay in Thousand Oaks, do stay at La Quinta

Trip Type: With Friends Review 14 of 51Excellent Hotel for Price
The room was clean, and staff was friendly. The hotel included a mini fridge, microwave, video game console, TV with a good cable selection, iron, and hair dryer. The complimentary breakfast was good with waffles, toast, fruit, eggs, coffee, juice, muffins, cereal, etc. The only complaints I have are that the side of the room with the AC unit got pretty frigid when it was on (the temperature wasn't consistent in the entire room), also that the room was a little tight with all of the furniture, and last that the outside noise (not from traffic, but from other tenants and people outside) came through pretty clearly, but we were there on a friday night. Even with all of that, I highly suggest this hotel, and would stay there again myself.
