Trip Type: Business Review 17 of 43Great Room, Outstanding Hotel Experience!
After staying at a few other hotels in New Orleans, we were pleasantly surprised to find a hotel that was WAY nicer than the other hotels for a better price! There was traditional hotel parking available (not secured by a locked gate), but it was free and it was safe. We did not hear any noises while in our room at night. We were very happy with the room. It was clean and very comfortable. We didn't eat breakfast so I don't know how it was. There were only two places to eat within walking distance of the hotel--IHOP and a Japanese/American buffet. There was at least a McDonalds a little farther away if you want to drive. The Japanese/American place we went to but after pulling into the parking lot we left. Any buffet that has 1 customer at 7pm at night, is a buffet I don't care to go to. Everyone local must know something I don't.... The IHOP appeared nice, but after going inside, they told us they didn't have most of what was on the menu, they said they ran out of everything. They didn't even have napkins. They used the same paper towels in the bathroom to wrap the silverware. The bathrooms had a sewage backup issue that you could smell as soon as the bathroom door opened. So with these choices for food within walking distance, eat before you get to the hotel exit! The hotel was GREAT. I have nothing bad to say, but it would have been nice if we would have known before arriving at the hotel that there was not any place to eat nearby.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 23 of 43Really Made A Difference
The hotel staff was nice, our room was always clean when we came back, and the hotel looked lovely. The continental breakfast was pretty diverse: cereal, assorted prepackaged pastries and muffins, make your own waffles, and yogurt. Just about every place we were headed to was a 15 minute drive away. Overall, I'm very happy I chose the LaQuinta. It really made our trip a nice one.

Trip Type: Business Review 26 of 43Adequite lodging for business
This hotel was acceptable. The bathroom needed cleaning upon my arrival. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was not very nutricious but tasted good, the fruit and yoghurt selection was adequate when available but was not available for 7 of the 11 days I was there. Hotel was very accessable to the highway in and out of New Orleans (15-30 minutes). Staff was helpful when needed.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 28 of 43Great Hotel and close enough to the French Quarters!
This hotel is about 10 miles from the French Quarters, and was a $20 taxi ride. We opted for a taxi instead of paying parking. The hotel seemed to be brand new, and was very clean and fresh smelling. It took me less than five minutes to check in and get my key. The only thing we had trouble with was getting the operator to answer when we called for a wake-up call. Would definitely recommend compare to other accommodations in the New Orleans area for the same money.

This hotel was a good value for the cost. No real complaints, an overall pleasant stay.
