Trip Type: Special Event Review 16 of 75Great value
The room was larger than most, clean and nicely decorated. No refrigerator, but otherwise it had everything we required for a comfortable stay.

Trip Type: Business Review 18 of 75Nice hotel
Room was clean and staff was freindly. Bed was clean and comfortable. Towels were thick and soft. Shower was very nice. The neighborhood was baren. New Britan is one of those cities that the economy has really hit hard. Walked to main street to get dinner because the hotel resurant had closed down. Town was a little scary.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 21 of 75Friendly Staff, clean hotel
We stayed one night for an event at the nearby Walnut Hill Park. The front desk attendant was very very friendly and helpful with information about getting to the park and nearby shopping. Our room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast seemed to be very popular although we did not eat there. Check in and Check out were quick and easy. I would use this hotel again for the same event next year.

Trip Type: Business Review 22 of 75Excellent - No worries reserving online
I had had a couple of less than good experiences reserving online in the Hartford area because of unfamiliarity with the neighborhoods and such. I had worries that this hotel would turn out only a little better, but it was great. Easy to find, good stores and restaurants nearby, and it was next to a major police department installation. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, well appointed, clean, and tidy. The furnishings were very nice, and the beds were comfortable. Wireless internet was easy to use.

Trip Type: Business Review 24 of 75Have paid twice as much for same room
Seventy bucks for this room and hotel was great value. Room was better than Hampton. Breakfast not quite as good.

Trip Type: Family Review 25 of 75Look beyond the front door
We reserved this room for a great price near Hartford and past experience with LaQuinta. The front door was muddy, and the attached restaurant was for sale. But I held my breath for nothing. The front desk staff was friendly and attentive, our room was great, comfy beds, breakfast included waffles. I had downloaded a coupon for a downtown restaurant just 2 1/2 blocks away, and we felt safe walking. Nice for the price!

Trip Type: Business Review 29 of 75Occupied Room
The features of the hotel is everything they described it to be BUT I had one bad experience after driving 5 hrs in the middle of the night into Ct . The night staff gave me a room that was farthest away from the elevator and was already OCCUPIED! Thankfully when I entered the room, the patron was sleeping and did not notice me so I immediately went downstairs where I had to wait 15 minutes at the front desk before someone can help me.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 30 of 75Won't stay there again!
I arrived after a late night of driving with two small children, and was tempted to get back in the car and keep going. The staff seemed more interested in talking to each other than in making me feel welcome. The entire hotel smelled of cigarettes, and although my room was non-smoking, the linens, the beds, everything smelled like nicotine. The air conditioning was actually blasting in the room, so it was colder in the room than it was outside in November, and when I turned the heat on, it just brought more smoke-smell into the room. THe beds were horrible, the decor was sparse and cold, and the bathroom was tiny and dark. I will not ever stay there again.
