Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 52Great room for the money, especially if traveling with pets
My husband and I visited Worlds of Fun and didn't want to stay in any of the crummy hotels near the park, so we stayed at the LaQuinta Inn near the airport. While it was a good 20-25 min. highway drive to the park, it was worth traveling because the hotel was very comfortable and clean. The room had a nice-sized refrigerator/freezer, microwave, and room safe. They only provided soap and shampoo, rather than extras such as conditioner and lotion, but since I bring all of those things along with us on trips, that didn't matter to us. The best thing about this hotel was that we traveled with two small dogs and they had an open pet policy, with no security deposit or extra fee assessed (hard to fine these days). The staff was also friendly, and they had a decent selection for breakfast (danishes, eggs and sausage, waffle maker, cereal, fruit, etc.). I would stay at this hotel again, if I travel to the KC area. It was much less expensive than staying in the Country Club Plaza area, but still nice and in an area that we didn't worry about crime. In my opinion, that's worth a little extra driving.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 52NOT BAD
Staff was pretty nice, rooms were pretty clean but really small. Barely any room to walk. Went down to pool a couple days, never had clean towels. Slow to get clean towels for pool. Nice area.

The Happy Hour snacks and drinks were a welcome ending to a long work day. The staff exceeded my expectations. Thank you!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 14 of 52Inconsistent housekeeping
During our four night stay various amenities were not replaced (washcloths, bath mat, tp, etc.). Our fellow travelers, upon check-in, found a bag of McDonalds under their room's desk. Both their room and ours had issues with the lighting over the sink. However, the breakfast kitchen area off the lobby was immaculate and the staff most helpful.

Trip Type: Business Review 15 of 52The best LaQuinta I've evern stayed in
The front desk check-in was outstanding. Fresh cookies on the counter. A call to my room to see if everything was in order. Comfy bed and nice roomy and moveable desk -- key for a business traveler like myself. The only deficiencies....they only provided shampoo, not cream rinse too. And please don't offer all-in-one shampoo and conditioners -- these are awful for anyone who colors their hair. The toilet and TP are mis-placed and you sit with your legs in the door while trying to get to the TP, also behind the door. And it REALLY bugs me that tea bags aren't left in the room along with coffee. This is also the distinction for me as to how good a hotel is -- do they offer tea bags.
