La Quinta Inn San Antonio I-35 at Rittiman Road

Kind of beat up

We expected more from a La Quinta brand hotel. Needed repair/maintenance/paint etc. The people were nice enough and did what they could to make the experience good but we felt like they all wanted to be somewhere else.

"Great room for the money"

The facilities are old, but clean. The bathroom is too small and so the dinning area.

needs improvement

tub didn't drain well. The pool was overloaded so was not able to enjoy pool. Some lights would work one day and then later wouldn't.

Excellent room for the money.

I found the La Quinta at Rittman to be and excellent room for the money. Had stayed there on previous weekend so was pleased to find I had the same room for later in the week. The staff was extremely helpful and curteous. Location was a little distance from my meetings but price more than compensated for drive.

Don't Do This One!

The pool was a swamp! It was green from one end to the other. There were dead spiders in the bathroom and the grout had mold all over it. The shower head was covered in hard minerals. The breakfast was sparse at best. The staff really had no interest in getting the pool clean or in the relations with the guests. And, the sound of the traffic from the highway was annoying. We were traveling with 3 teenaged boys; the pool and the breakfast amenities were why we chose this hotel - we will not make that mistake again!

Great room for the money.

I found this hotel to be quite satisfactory. It was not a high end hotel, but met our needs. The staff was extremely curteous and helpful.

Great rooms

The hotel was great it was clean and very comfy. The only problem i had with the hotel was that the pool was a little dirty. But other than that it was a nice stay. Thank you!!

Not worth the money

This hotel charges too much for what it is. It is an older hotel and while the rooms were fairly clean there was an odor in both rooms we had. It was a musty odor and there was loud banging and shouting at the door next to our room after midnight. The neighborhood was not that impressive, making it even less worth the money. We were not familiar with the area before we went, so we weren't sure what we were getting into but I wouldn't reccomend this place unless they come way down in their prices.

Good Choice

Good place for the money. We stayed during a hurricane evacuation, and this suited our needs perfectly. There is even a track on the North side of the hotel where you can walk your dog.

Good, Safe Stay

Good room for the $$, clean. Convenient to enter and exit. Close to Ft. Sam Houston. Felt safe and secure which was a relief since it was 2 women and 2 teen age girls staying. Will stay there again when needed.

Holiday Inn Northeast

Decent place, although a smaall fridge would have been nice. They let us check late (2:30) because of the morning marathon. jim
