Just right for the money

Location and facilities were as expected. It is good service for the money. Breakfast was adequate to get you started for the day. Desk staff was very helpful. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a good location with price to visit the Henry Ford and Greenfield Village which is about 6 miles away.

nice hotel

Located near the hightway but quiet. The room is neat and big enough. Friendly service people there.

Very impressive hotel for the money!

Upon my arrival at the hotel, I was waiting behind another person in line and two other gentlemen walk up and barged ahead of me. The desk clerk politely told them that they would have to wait until she check us in before she would see to their needs. I was very happy that we were so close to the freeway and travel time into Detroit only took 10 minutes. The hotel staff was very friendly and pleasant and the breakfast was on time and well stocked by the attendant. This was a pleasant experience and I wound't hesitate staying there again.

Great Stay

The location off the Highway was great. The Rooms were very clean. The staff was very helpful and knew the area and best places to go to eat.

Basic Stay/Place to Sleep

Not much in the area. Although it felt safe and sufficient enough for our travel into Detroit. Older decor that is a little of an eye sore. Otherwise, clean enough and sufficient. The only thing that I didn't appreciate: we had to get a cab to go into the city, we asked the receptionist to help us in calling it in. The cab driver (who turns out is not even licensed to be a cab company and comes in an umarked van) tried to charge us $79 for one way, 10 minute trip to downtown Detroit. He then called his "boss" and had it dropped to $59. We said that we weren't interested in taking him up on his services for that price. He told us that we were ridiculous and wouldn't find a better 'deal'. We called the first company we looked up a number for and got a flat rate of $25 from Gem transportation. Great people, helped us in navigating in the city and even helped us find them when we wanted to return if we were interested. Turns out 2 of the 4 receptionists at the La Quinta like commissions off of the sketchy cabby. I think that's plain wrong and unfortunately, those two speak wearily on our experience at the hotel. Not to mention that in a very vacant time, our room was put right next to a sort of janitorial closet - so lots of noise in the morning. On the plus, free small breakfast in the morning.

This is a good hotel to stay for the price

This is a very comfortable hotel to stay & is good for the price. The service was very good and I will definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who is staying the area.
