La Quinta Inn and Suites Dallas North Central

Frustrating experience

After driving 250 miles, I arrived and had to wait quite a long time as no one was at the front desk. When I finally got to check in I was advised that the internet was down but it would be back up in a few minutes. I explained I was on a business trip and needed to get some work done. After waiting 3 hours I called the front desk and was informed the internet was not going to be working at all. I lost valuable working time. I have also noticed that a number of La Quinta reviews state the internet never seems to be working and the fitness center equipment is never working. Not worth the trouble to stay there.

Nice Hotel

Great size rooms, clean, and friendly staff.

Needs some improvement.

Elevator problems, 1st one elevator and then the other out of order.

Very annoying noise.

Hotel was good enough, but my room was near the elevator and it made a terrible noise all night long.

Commode Seat

The commode seat needs to be tightened or replaced

Not as good as other La Quinta locations

I usually stay at La Quinta for business trips because it includes breakfast and is priced well. I will reconsider for the future, as the breakfast was sub par and I wasn't very impressed. The room was very basic, which I am used to. However, the bed was not as comfortable as other La Quinta's I recall in other cities.

Good deal for the money

Staff was helpful, conditions were good. No complaints for the cost. Only wish wireless was available throughout hotel, but they provided cables and in room internet service. Everything was clean and breakfast was quite good for free.

Great hotel, but don't use your debit card at the hotel for accidents that you know your not going to use and then you look at your bank account and see another charge for the room.

Loud but fine otherwise

This hotel is right on I75 and my room was facing the freeway. The highway noise came through and even with the fan running all night, I could still hear it. It did not affect me once I was asleep, but you definitely will want to run your fan all night. They have wired internet connections in the room and they have cables at the front desk if you do not have one. The staff was helpful, breakfast was fine and otherwise the room was fine for business travel.
