We enjoyed this hotel, especially the breakfast, internet availability, and location. It was in a section of the city that was safe and very convenient. It is not fancy, but well run.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 4 of 15Great Locatiion
This was only one block from the metro stop and in a very nice part (Provedencia) of Santiago. We enjoyed walking around the area and could connect to other areas of the city by metro. Would stay here again if I return to Santiago!

Hotel location was excellent. Walk to shopping or restaurants in a very safe neigborhood. Breakfast was free and very nice. Great service getting bags to rooms. Elevator is small and old. Hotel was old and needs some updating. Hotel provided free internet and computers. Hotel staff had somewhat of a language barrier.but were helpful.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 15Good hotel, great location
The location - Providencia - is excellent. There are lots of good restaurants near by. There is a big mall just opposite it - it is a landmark that any tourist can ask for if he gets lost! There are many currency exchange places near the hotel as well. The rooms are quite large and spacious, although a little old. The staff is very helpful, although people manning the reception in the early mornings and late evenings can't speak English. There is complimentary breakfast served (quite good), and there is free internet and gym for the guests.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 15Good neighborhood and price
We were very satified with this hotel for the price. The rooms were large and clean, and it was located in close proximity to good restaurants and a subway stop. The breakfast, which was included in our price, was tasty and plentiful. The hotel staff was somewhat helpful, but spoke no English. This is definitely an older hotel and is somewhat dilapidated (eg, the front of drawer in the closet fell off when I went to pull it out). it is also on a very busy street and can be quite noisy at night. We requested a room in the back, which we got and we had no problems with the noise. Rooms ending in "2" and "3" face the back of the hotel. Our traveling companions requested a rear-facing room but instead were put in a front-facing room. Fortunately, loud noise at night does not bother them. Overall, including the price, we were very satified with our stay.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 8 of 15Very good location-adequate
Overall, the location was very very convenient. Lack of much English was a bit inconvenient but not a serious issue if you are not bothered with using sign language and a few misc words of Spanish. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. For the location, the price seemed reasonable but perhaps a bit high for the overall room. The kitchen and bath were outfitted as if there was only one person instead of the two of us and no one seemed to realize that perhaps we needed two towels, two glasses etc. etc. The room was small, the lighting a bit under what it should be. Overall, I would recommend this to someone who wants location and is not overly bothered by things that could be better but are adequate considering you want the room to sleep in and not to relax and read a book.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 15Great Service, Great location
Breakfast was very good, and lots of useful info posted at the breakfast room. Hotel personnel was extremely helpful and responsive, always ready to help with a good attitude. Rooms very clean and everything in the building looks brand new. Great neighborhood, close to subway, supermarkets, shopping, etc. The only minor negative thing was the size of the bathroom; too small, and a little unconfortable, even unsafe if we were older or overweighted guests, but as I said, just a minor disconfort compared to our overall extremely positive experience. Great value!!! The free 24h internet was definately a plus!!!

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 15Good for the Price, BUT
We spoke little Spanish, and virtually the staff spoke no English. This made check-in, check-out, and even simple housekeeping things very difficult. We ran into other guests who voiced the same concern. Great location...there are several places to eat across the street so that was great. Even though we requested a room in the back of the hotel (due to the heavy traffic noises which we read about on several reviews), we were given the complete opposite (a room facing the main street). Of course, due to the language barrier, we could not get another room SO bring ear plugs, seriously its that loud. You'll think your sleeping on the actual street. The hotel room and bath room is extremely small (I've been the France and NYC...this room was even smaller than a typical room in those two cities). The breakfast was great! Also, they had a "business center", so I was able to use the internet which definitely helped a lot. Also, there was a small gym, but it wasn't anything to write home about. Overall, if your on a budget and speak moderate spanish, then you can consider this hotel. If you speak little to no spanish and have extra money, consider somewhere else.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 15Great for the money
Our suite consisted of a sitting room with table, chairs, a sofa, and a nice kitchen area with stove and pots and plates. A balcony with sliding glass door let in lots of light. The bedroom is small and dark (good for sleeping) and has a corner window with window seat. Bath is small but clean. Excellent breakfast, gym, 2 free computers for internet. About 1 block from subway, and at least 5 restaurants and fast food places nearby. There is a fair amount of traffic noise.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 13 of 15No air conditioning
The air conditioner in the room did not work. Also there was a smoke detector in the hallway that went off literally every minute of my stay. It was so annoying that I could not sleep during the night. The maintenance man on duty said it was normal but when I spoke to the desk person the next day, she said that it was not normal. I would like my money back for this stay.

Helpful staff but some language difficulties. Clean and basic. Good value for the money. Near subway in busseling modern financial and shopping area. Variety of restaurants. View of San Cristobl Hill from terrace and moderate walk to park and tram to hilltop through lovely residential neighborhood.
