Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 405Great location, wonderful staff!
The pool had a leak so it was down for repair but we didn't go there for the pool. The hotel was very close to the mall and we were able to get out an sightseeing on foot in minutes. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. The bed was a little firmer than we would have liked and the shower pressure wouldn't switch all of the water to the shower head but both of these were very minor. I would have preferred an exterior room to the interior room for the price that we paid but over all we enjoyed our stay quite nicely and loved the attention and courtesy of the staff. If we come back to DC we will stay again! Thanks!

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 405Should give advance notice of closings
Although the room was quite clean, the beds very comfortable, and the Starbucks service in the lobby appreciated, there were several disappointments. The fitness room and the yellow line Metro were closed (we would have appreciated being told this in advance), my kids reported that the pool was only so-so, and finally any decent hotel should feature separate shampoo and conditioner; 2 in 1 products do not work on long hair. All that said, the location is great for the Mall.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 405Long Weekend in DC
The location was perfect, close to the mall, the museums, and the monuments. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and had decent food in the restaurant. The fitness center and pool were both closed which was a hastle. Otherwise, a very nice hotel in a great area.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 405Great Location - Services inept
Workout center and pool are permanently closed. There are basically no concierge services supplied. These are not consistent features given the extravagant hotel prices. Location is good though as it is above a metro station you can basically go anywhere from.

There was a screw sticking out of the carpet in front of the closet Mold in the tub area and by cold water faucet in sink Were not any bath rugs available And a group of people were partying around the pool at 4:00 AM Left a complaint card at the desk on departure

Trip Type: Special Event Review 8 of 405Really happy!
Very suprised at the quality and friendliness of the service. The room was large, the bed was comfortable with lots of pillows and the comforter was fluffy. I stayed in bed for an extra hour because it was so nice. The hotel is 2 blocks from the mall, which was very convenient. The only problem I had was parking. There is street parking for free on the weekends, and public parking across the street, but I thought that the hotel had its own parking. I was very happy with my stay, and would gladly stay there again.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 405Easy Access
With the Metro Station Running under this hotel it makes it easy to get anywhere in DC. There are not alot of resurants in this area besides what is at the Hotel but it is very close to the Washington Mall and Smithsonian Museum.

This is our second stay (within 5 months) and it is absolutely our favorite. The desk staff is pleasant and very helpful and the location perfect for museum folks.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 405Tired, but Trying
This used to be a great hotel. Now it's just treading water for the price. Business center closed early and not open weekends. Front desk short staffed. Never was able to ask a couple of quick questions due to long lines. Rooms did not have everything advertised such as mini bars. Minimal amenities. Restaurant staff was the exception: very friendly and competant...a real pleasure.
