Expert Tip. Pongun-sa Temple is one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Korea. The structure, established in 794 during the Silla Kingdom, sits in stark contrast to the modern COEX Seoul Convention Center rising up in the background. Visitors are often surprised to find such a well preserved and large temple amid the urban frenzy of the city.
