Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 68Slums to close to the border.
I am from Calexico, when I cam to San Diego for the weekend I didn't know that I would be just like at home right next to the border. I wasn't satisfied with this hotel at all, the T.V. showed everyone with red skin, the toilet made weird noises when you flushed it, the water in the shower kept turning hot for what reason I don't know, maybe someone in the next building flushed their toilet. The beds were like sleepin on a boxspring, the faucet would spray so hard the water would splash on the floor. The breakfast wasn't that great, and the people a couple of rooms down were always standing outside, looked suspicious to me. The only good thing was the morning attendant was very plesant. Was not good for the price i payed. Would not stay there ever again.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 68Good for the price
So I read reviews on every hotel that I stay at. We were in town for comic con and needed a cheap hotel at the last minute. I was scared staying close to the border with all the violence going on but this hotel was pretty safe. It was right off the freeway and pretty quiet. Staff was great and helpful. If we needed something, it was done. The only problem was there were ants next to our bed, so we told the staff about it, and after trying to clean it, the ants were still there. The staff were nice enough to move us to another room so we didn't have any problems there. Also, breakfast was great in the morning, everything you would want. Overall I'd stay there again for the price and benefits, I just wish they were closer to the convention center!!!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 8 of 68It's OK
The hotel was under rentivation. So it was not all I expected. But the room was clean and comfortable. You need to have a car. not close to stores.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 9 of 68great room for the money
The rooms were decent. Location was not the best but overall I would go back. It was equipped with microwave, stove, fridge, blow dryer, and toaster oven. Definitely good for a weekly stay. Ironing board and iron as well as a nice size tv armoire with space for clothing and a hanging rail for hanging clothes. The complimentary breakfast was nice too.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 68i fell goin down stairs needs much improvement
The customer service at this hotel at both check in breakfast and checkout have much to be desired. It took 2.5 hours to get my room that i had reservations for. I fell at 7am going down the stairs because they were painted with indoor pant and had no traction strips and it was raining. The room had a foul odor. The hotel had wifi, but only in the lobby.

Trip Type: Business Review 11 of 68Get what you pay for.
Front desk staff were very professional and helped us with a reservation blunder that we caused ourselves. Neighborhood is a little rough. Good room for the money we paid.

It was a very convenience location, witch it was what I was looking for. Overall everything was ok, basically you get what you pay for but since I was just looking for a place to sleep it really help alot, and I would stay there again.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 14 of 68Ok for the price.
The hotel is very close to the border. The room was clean and the attendant very curtious. The rooms are kind of spread out but overall if i needed to stay close to the border i would stay again.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 15 of 68good hotel, bad neighborhood
the hotel itself was nice.. but walking back from tijuana at night towards the hotel is scary because of the dark apartments you have to walk through.. carry a blade just in case
