We booked the room for 4 guests but only had enough towels for 2 which were very threadbare. The pillows were a joke but no one seemed to care. I come to this area every year to shop but will never stay at this one again.

Considering the 1&1/2 star rating I wasn't setting my expectations too high. Rather than criticize I'd like to make a suggestion because the proprietors were friendly and accommodating as would be expected. Their motel needs to be upgraded on every level; heating and a/c, painting of walls and trim, carpeting, bathroom flooring, bedding. A zero star rating and a substantial reduction in price would have given this location a much better review. Good luck, I'll be looking elsewhere when I visit next year.

This hotel is just not satisfactory. The room had not been cleaned adequately when we arrived. There were leftover crumbs all over the table and chair from the previous occupant's last meal there. These crumbs, however, were not sufficient to keep alive a large bug who had perished in the room at some point and was crusted to the ceiling directly above the bead. Despite the fact that this was a non-smoking room, there was a general musty odor to the place. The pillows and comforter seemed very old too. The worst experience we had though was the heater. Before going to bed, I set the heater on low and the fan on medium. We woke up sweating in the middle of the night with the heater blasting. Even turning it off did not stop the heat from coming out. Finally, the only solution was to unplug the whole unit, which meant no more heat for the night. We had to huddle together under the dirty old comforter to keep warm on a chilly night. I've stayed in some cheap places before, and this one ranks right up there with the worst of them. It's not even that cheap either. I would not recommend this to anyone.
