We got put in the old and noisy part of the hotel

Part of the hotel is an old motel section and it is ready to be replaced. The accommodations were adequate but not pleasant.

Hotel is okay for rate, but Greymouth is not up to otherwise incredible beuaty of New Zealand west coast

If your travels lead you to Greymouth, this hotel is okay. I wouldn't recommend Greymouth as compared to virtually all the rest of the west coast of New Zealand, but if this is where you need to be, then the hotel is okay. Don't eat here, however, there are better choices, like the Indian Food restaurant a few blocks away.
