Good Valve

Hotel Staff was very friendly and helpful. Waffle Shop on site had EXCELLENT waffles. Jacuzzi/Pool. Located convinently to freeways and shopping areas. Downtown San Diego was only a 10 minute drive by freeway. Room was clean. Beds were soft.

Nice hotel. Tasty waffles. "Great room for the money"

It is true you get what you pay for. But in this case it was a good thing. The staff was friendly. The room was clean and nice. The two restaurants were good to eat at. We got a 15% discount at the Amigo Spot for dinner. and a free waffle breakfast at the Waffle Spot. The only bad thing about the rooms are the walls are a bit thin. We could hear the television from the room next door, but it wasnt loud. The plumbing was a tad loud. When one of us flushed we could hear the water in the pipes but that went away after a minute. All in all, a good place to stay.

Great hotel for the money

Very cheap, location was very good, HOTEL STAFF WAS THE BEST, room was cleaned very well, pool was very nice, and I would stay here again. The staff made the stay...they were nice and very helpfull. The maids cleaned our room great. They even picked up toys my kids had out! I tipped them very well because I was so impressed!

The hotel was in a central location to a lot of venues and was comfortable.

Great location Low price

The room look just like the picture posted. It smelled like you would expect an old hotel to smell. Musty and dated. However, nothing a mini can of Lysol and fabreeze could not handle. The front desk was very helpful and the waffle stop was very convenient and good. I would totally stay there again. It was so close to everything in the area including the mall and Old Town San Diego and the price was awesome.

PHX Traveller

PROS: Great location. Price was right. Room clean. CONS: Bathroom tiny - almost too small. (Shower head at best 5'6" tall.) Very few handicapped parking spaces.

Waffel King

Wasnt great food was good but service was not, they were rude and had no customer service. The hotel was nice and I would stay there again the only complaint I have was when we got into out room it had a wierd smell.

Kings Inn

Kings Inn is a great place if you are going to the zoo or sea world it is very close to those places and it is very close to shopping and food places. The only thing I would say is I wouldnt go to the Waffle place in the hotel the service is not very good and the people that work there are very rude. Other than that this Hotel was great you cannot beat it for the price.

Needs Improvement

Our first room looked like it had not been used in a while. All kinds of brochures shoved under the door. The window screen was on the flood and a half burned cigarette was laying on the table with ashes on the floor. It was in pretty poor shape. The hotel was quick to find us another room but made no other attempt to make us happy.

Good bang for the buck

I received friendly service and good recommendations at the desk , got good rest each night, and was located near everything I needed to be. No complaints.

It is what it is

The room was clean, but it seemed a little run down. For the price it was fair though... if you want a 5 star experience, you're going to spend a five star amount of $$$. Overall it was an okay experience... my only complaint was that the walls were so thin you could hear the neighboring guests turning the water on and off to shower, and it was extremely loud while we were trying to sleep. The receptionist at the front desk was more than helpful, she was cheery and willing to help me find some happy hour places for a tuesday night. She was awesome. But the hotel itself was just okay. I would stay here again if I was in a pinch or didnt want to spend much, but it might not be my first choice.
