Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 54Fabulous hotel: but best for those who have no shame.
This hotel was amazing for the price. The room was always clean with fresh sheets and towels. For being one of the most inexpensive hotels in NYC, we were afraid it would be awful, but the marble floors and beautiful wallpaper made us feel like we were actually in a luxury hotel. The only thing that I would warn hotelgoers about is that the walls are VERY thin. We didn't notice this ourselves the first two nights there, until on the third night we could hear the people across the hall having sex. If you don't mind other people hearing you, this is a perfect hotel, but if you're the sort to get embarrassed about things like that, it's not for you.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 3 of 54Great for the money
King's Hotel might not be on the most convenient subway line. It might be in a bit of an odd neighborhood, but for the price... can't go wrong... The staff were friendly and helpful. The parking garage does only fit a handful of cars, but all in all, it was a bargain.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 4 of 54HORRIBLE HOTEL
The picture does no justice to what you get here! The location was very difficult to find, the receptionist did not even know how to get us to this location. There is nothing around the area to do or look at for that matter! No view of anything at all! The bed: This bed was hard as a rock! If you dont believe me, visit this "nightmare on 9th street!" The towels look as if they are old as New York City! Parking: absolutely no room for parking! The garage only holds 5 - 6 cars, so if you are not in before the other guests, you have to park on the lonely street, that is if parking is allowed....horrible! The only enticing thing about this hotel was the pictures! They are beautiful and you get what you see, but it is only that, pretty! This room is not worth the money, I shared this thought with the receptionist. I even shared this with Hotels.com. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 54It's alright for you if you lived in the city before
Not a bad place. If you have lived downtown before then you have no worries. The neighborhood is alright down 8th and 9th street as it is mostly an asian area. At night is not bad as the hotel is just a block away from the 9th ave station into NYC. I just find it to be in an odd place to have a hotel but for the price and that fact that its next to the subway was great. I picked the place as it was quite at night. It seems scary but if you've lived downtown before then you don't have much to worrie about. There is a 24 hour shop down the street for drinks and food. Oh and if you plan on driving up there they have a small garage that fits only about 5 to 6 cars so don't do that.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 54Great room for the money
Granted that we had a discounted rate, this was by far the cheapest option we got compared to anywhere in Manhattan. The hotel is brand new, very clean, rooms are very comfortable, nice bathrooms. One block away from subway station, 30 minutes away from all Manhattan attractions. The immediate neighborhood is not nice and don't expect anything of it as far as leisure, dining or shopping; this is a place for you to sleep well and comfortably and commute to/from Manhattan.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 54New and clean Hotel
We were really satisfied with our stay at the kings hotel. The room was kind of small but since we didn't spend the days in the hotel, that wasn't problem. The only thing that was kind of annoying was the noise. We could here our neighbor watching TV at night and all the other guests coming home and being loud at night. But since the hotel was very clean and new and the subaystation was only two blocks away, we were very satisfied and would really recommend the kings hotel.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 11 of 54needs improvement
I'm from Brooklyn, so the neighborhood did not bother me. The parking there is terrible. They have a very small parking area, therefore you have to find street parking. That is ok during the day, but at night it was another story. The room was very clean. They did give us extra pillows. I would recommend this hotel to others, and will stay there again at another time. it was close to where we have our gatherings.

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 54Not worth it could not sleep
It was a clean hotel-- but it is not as advertised, there is very limited parking and no lounge. It is a very noisy hotel with the lack of carpet in the rooms and the halls you can hear conversations and all the room doors close all night as if they were in your room, could not get any sleep. limited number of places to eat in the immediate area.

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 54Great hotel overall
We found the Kings hotel to be great for it's location in Brooklyn, close to the subway, only 15 minutes from Manhatten. The service was good, especially since we extended our reservation and the manager was accomodating to our needs. The hotel itself was a gem - with indoor parking, fresh flowers in the lobby and seemingly brand new décor that varied in design on each floor. The room itself was simple and very comfortable - clean white linens and mahogany wood furniture. A unique treat was the availability of hot tea as well as plenty of adjustable lighting and air conditioning in our room. This will be our choice next time we return to NYC.

Trip Type: Family Review 14 of 54asian theme
Once you get over the neighborhood, this was a decent hotel to stay in. Asian themed decor all over, including the lack of carpet in the rooms (everything is tiled). Not a whole lot of parking in the locked garage, either.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 15 of 54A Jewel Conveniently Located Near Subway Line
We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and convenience of this hotel at half the price of Manhattan places. Less than a year old, this hotel is very clean and basic. Although room was small, neighborhood (working class) is funky & parking is limited (though FREE!), the Kings makes it a very good spot for jumping off to see NYC's sights. Nearby Subway (less than block) took us right to the Front Gate of Yankee Stadium in about an hour! Already have recommended to our friends!
