King Solomon Hotel

My family and I stayed here due to price and location. Some of the issues we ran into were: the paint on the walls was peeling and bubbling in certain areas, there was mildew in the shower, the toilet was difficult, at best, to flush and required much patience and time to work, you could hear everything in the hotel to include every door being shut, the traffic on the street outside, and people walking an talking about. We hardly slept the entire time we were here due to the noise. The restauraunt in the hotel is kosher. The issue we ran into was our first breakfast was on Saturday and machinery was not allowed to be used, to include pepper mills. The mills were left out and we used one, at which point an older gentlemen loudly and at length and in front of everyone in the restauraunt, berated the waitress for leaving them out after grabbing it from our table. The other issue was we could not bring our own breakfast, rolls that we had purchased, into the dining area to eat. We had made several complaints, only to be told the manager would be notified. We never heard from the management. There were three occassions when we witnessed other guests at the front desk complaining about the issues we were dealing with. Overall, this was one of the worst hotels we have stayed at, period.

This hotel was great for the money; the staff was helpful and breakfast was included in the price with a nice breakfast variety. overall great place and would definitely stay again/recommend.
