Fantastic hotel!

My husband and I had a great time at the Kauai Coast Resort at the Beachboy! The condos are huge (4+ rooms), and you can't beat the cost for what you get (full kitchen including a stove, washer/dryer, and I think all rooms at least have a view of the ocean)! We were extremely satisfied with our stay. If I had to post a criticism, I would say two things: 1) Housekeeping usually didn't come until the very late afternoon, which was sometimes inconvenient; and 2) we saw a few tiny ants in our room. Honestly, those were minimal compared to the beauty of the resort - and the location! You can't beat being in the center of the Royal Coconut Coast, equidistant from both ends of the island. It's a 1.5h drive to the top of Waimea Canyon in the South, and a 1h drive to get to Princeville in the North. Perfect! I would also recommend attending the timeshare presentation. They make it worth your while in consolation prizes.

Great location, safe neighborhood, reasonably price and excellent staff. Also the hamocks along beach are nice touch. it's perfect.

Perfect setting for a vacation retreat!

When we checked into the hotel we were immediately upgraded to a one bedroom suite with a garden view overlooking the pool area. It was clean, fresh and extremely comfortable. We ate our breakfast each morning out on the spacious lanai while watching the waves come ashore. The kitchen was very well equipped. We also took advantage of the apartment size washer and dryer. This hotel is located on a beautiful sand beach; but, unfortunately the ocean currents prevented anyone from swimming. Lots of fun tide pooling though! We rented a car during our stay which enabled us to explore the entire island. There are lots of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance, although having a car is almost a must as public transport seemed somewhat spotty at best. The hotel staff was very helpful, courteous and friendly. The restaurant had a satisfactory menu and the dinners we had there were excellent.

Outstanding Hotel

Hotel far exceed my expectations. Would definitely stay there again. Beautiful grounds. Wonderful swimming pool, great view of the Pacific Ocean and right on the beach.

Beach Boy, Kauai

The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable with well stocked kitchens and bathrooms, and nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable. The restaurant was excellent but closed on Mondays, an inconvenience for guests. The grounds were well maintained and beautiful,right next to the ocean. I would definitely stay there again.

Great hotel for price, only missing a swimming beach

Beautiful setting, outstanding accommodations, great location and friendly staff. My only wish was for a larger beach and larger resort style pool. There is a pool it is just smaller and simple.

Convenient location!

Hotel has no beach. Restaurant great for dinner but would love to have one that serves breakfast and lunch. Being next to Coconut market was a plus. Overall, would recommend this hotel.

Great hotel

For the most part, I loved the Kauai Coast Resort at the Beachboy. The place was beautiful and newly rennovated. It's location was perfect, right in a central area of the island so it made it easier to see north and south shore sites. From the hotel, it was quick walk to the ocean. I only had two minor complaints...1) they have bad irons (it damaged one of my shirts and kept dripping tons of water from it) and 2) there was a bad smell in the bathroom, like an old wet towel that had been trapped in a bag smell that didn't go away. Other than that, it's a great place to stay and I'd definitely stay there again!

Absolutely Outstanding! You MUST stay Hear!

All I can say is WOW! Beside the fact that this resort is located on Kauai, which is the most beautiful place on Earth, the staff and the accomodations at the Kauai Coast Resort at the Beachboy were amazing. We called the staff from the Lihue airport to get directions and were pleased to find out that it was only five miles from the airport in Kapa'a and was very easy to find. When I went to check in I was greeted by three very friendly staff members at the front desk, one of whom informed me that they had upgraded us for free from the garden view efficiency room that I had reserved to a 2 bedroom, 2 bath OCEANFRONT condominium. The only caveat was that we could only be in it for the first 3 days of our vacation and we would move to another unit for our last day. I said no problem, and the desk clerk informed me that all we had to do was pack our things and have them ready on that last morning and the staff would move us. All of that went flawlessly and we never really had to do anything, they took care of it. The grounds were immaculately groomed, the pool and hottub were beautiful and the beach and ocean were awesome. The beach area directly in front of the resort is small and rocky, however you can walk up the beach about 50 yards and it really opens up. Also the groomed lawn runs right up to the sand and most patrons just lay on lounge chairs on the lawn, which was very nice. Also they have a couple of hammocks that are placed beneath the most beautiful coconut palms. It is a perfect place to take a nap in the shade, as I did, with the sounds of the waves crashing in the background and the 10-15 mph sustained breeze that ALWAYS comes off the water and through the resort. On our last night there, we ate at Hukilau Lanai, which is the restaurant right there in the resort. Trust me when I say this, if you plan on eating a nice dinner out, this is the ONLY place on the island to do it. It is that good. My wife and I went down to Roy's the night before in Poipu and R

A Dream Vacation

Our stay at Kauai Coast Resort at the Beachboy was wonderful. We honestly couldn't ask for better! We got an apartment style room for an incredible price. I almost don't want to give this review so we can keep this place our wonderful secret! Just don't waste your time going to the timeshare presentation, no matter what the gift is, they will be rude and pushy. Our stay and the hotel were wonderful but the timeshare presentation was the worst part of our trip! Please don't fall into their trap!!
