    The hotel experience is one similar of being in France. The hotel was clean and the majority of the equipment was working. Our phone never worked. Our room came with an outdoor kitchen which worked well for our group. Our friends kitchen lock was gone and so was the majority of the kitchen equipment. The staff tried to assist with problems the best they could working with my family who spoke little French. The thing to keep in mind is that this is a nice Hotel for the area. Prices are high for the Hotel and food compared to what we would expect to find in the US. We also visited during Carnaval which meant more people and traffic volume. We were surpised to find the the set times for breakfast were roughly 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM, Lunch 12:00 to 2:00 PM and dinner from 7:30 to 10:00 PM. We did find a McDonalds that was open all the time though. All in all we had a more positive experience than negative one and if you would visit Martinique this would be worth considering.

Location. The Amyris Hotel is located in Sainte Luce, Martinique, within three kilometres of Santa Luce town centre and 18 kilometres from Pointe du Bout marina.

Hotel Features. Part of Karibea Resort Sainte Luce, the Amyris Hotel is set between two white sand beaches amid four hectors of tropical gardens. The hotel is housed in a group of two-storey buildings and offers three swimming pools with sun-beds and umbrellas.

The Amyris Hotel serves a complimentary breakfast daily in Les Isles Restaurant. There are two additional restaurants near the swimming pool open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and two bars open for cocktails.

The Amyris Hotel has a separate pool for children. The Ti-Manmay Club opens for children aged 6- 11 during school holidays, and offers supervised sports and water activities, art workshops and games. There are two tennis courts, deep-sea diving facilities and table soccer. A weekly programme of live entertainment is offered, including dancers, bands and karaoke.

Guestrooms. There are 300 air- conditioned guestrooms at Amyris Hotel, extending to balconies or terraces and offset with wood furniture. Amenities include satellite television, refrigerators, safes and hair dryers.

Expert Tip. The Montravail forest is five kilometres from the centre of Sainte Luce. A number of hiking trails are available and visitors can see rocks that were engraved by the Caribbean Indians.
