Fantastic Experience

Hotel and room were clean and beautifully decorated, and staff was extraordinarily helpful and kind. Location can't be beat if you're in DC for pleasure - the Mall is a stone's throw away. Excellent food options nearby as well as in the hotel itself. Highly recommended!

Super convenient and fair price

I've stayed at this Marriot before. It's very convenient to the Mall, the White House, the Metro station and even the "Olde Town Trolley" tour if you're so inclined. There's a nice little place for food on the corner named "The Corner Bakery" which is great for a morning breakfast. Parking is expensive ($ 29 night) as it is at all DC hotels. I wouldn't say the hotel is inexpensive but given the other hotel prices, it was a great value.

Lovely Hotel

The JW Marriott Hotel was as lovely as we expected. It was convenient to many Washington attractions and there were taxis galore if needed. All personnel were pleasant and efficient. Only complaint, my children stayed all day of the day we checked out and saw more sites. Then they went back to the hotel for a late lunch before heading home. The computer system went down during lunch and they were delayed leaving for over an hour because they couldn't total their bill so they could pay before leaving!! What ever happened to adding the numbers yourself?? It delayed them quite a bit on starting their return trip! I would have said bill me but they waited and were very nice about it.

Worth the Price

Extremely comfortable room with amenities. The service was excellent. Food quality was exceptional. The location of the hotel is wonderful.

Excellent hotel

The rooms were fantastic and hotel in excellent location. Staff were extremely helpful, pity food prices are not a little lower as it would be so convenient to eat in hotel. Very child friendly.

decent hotel

The room was very good for the price we paid. Location was great--walking distance to the Metro, the Capitol, Museums. Two complaints: 1. the lobby and hallways/corridors were hot (didn't feel like they had air conditioning) and 2. the rugs in the hallways were not vacuumed. You could see pieces of debris.

Would definitely stay there again - especially because my sons name is Griffin and the logo is a Gryphon

Very Nice

Very nice hotel. Conviently located, within walking distance to everything. No parking available you have to use valet and it is very expensive! Room was small but nice and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful. Over all, I would highly reccomend this hotel.

Great Hotel

Our family stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and we loved it - very close to everything in DC and Starbucks in the lobby

would stay there again. the location was close to the museums. everyone was friendly and helpful.

I think that you should a parking, in case we wanted to park our cars ourselfs.
