    At first I was given a substandard room on 4th floor. I went to the desk and it was changed to exactly what I wanted on the 8th floor. The Kingsize bed was the most comfortable we have ever had in a hotel. The bathroom was outstanding, exactly what I expect from a junior suite separate large shower and large bathtub. Towels were lush as well as robes and slippers. They actually had woman sized slippers!!!! The room had motion sensors so at night if you woke-up you had floor lights go off for safty! Loved It!

Location. The Jumeirah Essex House on Central Park is located in New York City, N.Y., between Central Park and Broadway. The Central Park Zoo is less than six blocks from the hotel. The Museum of Modern Art and Rockefeller Center are within nine blocks. Times Square is less than one mile from this Midtown Manhattan hotel.

Hotel Features. Upon check-in at the Jumeirah Essex House on Central Park, guests are offered warm towels placed in a gold basket. The lobby is scented with fresh flowers and features marble floors with vibrantly colored rugs, contemporary furnishings, stately pillars and Art Deco flourishes. South Gate restaurant features the culinary artistry of celebrated chef Kerry Hefferman. The restaurant serves seasonally inspired American cuisine and offers more than 1,200 wines. The Art Deco-style Lobby Lounge serves a selection of sandwiches and appetizers. The hotel offers 11,000 square feet of meeting and event space, some featuring chandeliers and pastoral murals.
