Description
See more detailsLocation. Set on the islet of Ambergris Caye off the coast of Belize, the Journey's End Resort offers cabana-style accommodations with snorkeling, sailing, and reef fishing activities. By water taxi, this secluded beachfront resort is minutes away from neighboring San Pedro, the only town on the entire islet. Belize City is 36 miles away.
Hotel Features. The resort is enveloped in a laidback atmosphere. The Luna Restaurant is a multi-level palapa-covered restaurant serving Caribbean and Central American-style food and fresh local seafood. The Smiling Toucan Beach Bar and Grill serves burgers, sandwiches and salads.
The resort's marina offers complimentary non-motorized sports equipment such as kayaks and personal watercraft. Diving and fishing trips and customized activities can be arranged for a fee. The resort's on-site spa offers seaweed wraps, aromatherapy massage and nail treatments for a fee. Other on-site activities include an outdoor pool.
Guestrooms. In keeping with the theme of seclusion, accommodations are comprised of individual cabanas connected by a sandy walkway and surrounded by a courtyard of lush tropical gardens. All cabanas feature walkout balconies or terraces with views of the gardens, pools, lagoons or the ocean. Rooms feature wood-paneled floors and include post canopy beds with extra bedding and towels. Bathrooms include complimentary toiletries. Other in-room amenities include compact refrigerators and coffee/tea makers. Suites have kitchenettes.
Expert Tip. A regular hand-drawn ferry runs 24- hours on demand between two halves of the islet. The ferry is small and can only accommodate people, bicycles, mopeds and golf carts.
