Description
The Sol Y Mar Makadi Star Resort and Spa is an All- inclusive, luxurious, modern, Moorish-style complex with a terracotta façade, located next to Makadi Bay and 30 kilometres from Hurghada. The 167 air-conditioned guestrooms feature light modern decor in soft neutral colours with patterned fabrics and wood furnishings. All include balconies or terraces, Internet access, satellite television, direct-dial phones, hair dryers, minibars and safes. Guests can choose from a number of dining options: the Al Warda Restaurant serves a wide range of local and international dishes from an extensive buffet in an elegant, modern setting, and the Al Fayroux Pool Bar is an outdoor restaurant offering both à la carte meals and light snacks and refreshments. The hotel's Makadi Serena Spa offers treatments based on Ayurvedic and Asian remedies including facials, scrubs and massages, and has a chill pool, steam room, sauna and jetted tub. Guests can compete on tennis courts, work out in the fitness room, enjoy a drink in the bar, and dance the night away at the disco. The hotel also offers billiards, table tennis, volleyball, water polo and a kids' club, while practical amenities include a 24- hour front desk, room service, laundry facilities, a multilingual concierge service and complimentary onsite parking. The hotel is near to many of the areas attractions; Souk Makadi, housing shops, restaurants and entertainment facilities, is just 500 metres away, and busy Hurghada is 30 kilometres distant. Hurghada International Airport is 32 kilometres from the hotel, and takes approximately 45 minutes to reach by car.
