Upon check in, they gave me a room that is not exactly what I booked for. I reserved for 2 queen size bed, but they gave me 1 king size without verifying with us. We had to go back to front desk, which is a waste of out time. To make things worse, there's no more rooms with 2 beds, and my friend had to sleep in a small couch. Parking is expensive and not easily accessible.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 3 of 8Excellent hotel in the BEST location
We were very impressed with the size and layout of the room. The lobby and public spaces were well maintained and the staff very helpful. The best part was the location - just an elevator ride to the main avenue and next to the beautiful gardens!

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 8Great Hotel and Location
We enjoyed the luxury of this hotel. The location was great for shopping and banking just outside the street doors. The elevators were a bit confusing to us and other guests, but once we figured out which ones to get on, it wasn't a problem. We enjoyed the wonderful evening buffets. Thanks, Hotel.com for this opportunity.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 5 of 8Loved it!
Great location--right in the CBC and directly off the motorway-- lovely accommodations. Unfortunately, we arrived on Boxing Day. Many, but not all stores were open, but almost all restaurants were closed. Except for that, it was a delightful stay.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 8This hotel and staff was great
We stayed at the James Cook Hotel in Wellington, NZ on two occasions. Both stays were great. The hotel and staff were outstandings. I can't imagine anyone being unhappy about anything.

Do not stay on the top floors when the Wellington wind is high. The hotel was not designed to reduce excessive wind noise. Over priced for quality
