Great Room for the Money

Our room had the damp musty clothes smell. But, I've had that before with other hotels in damp areas. The staff was great and helped in every way they could.

BEST 21st BIRTHDAY EVER!

I came with my mom, aunt and cousin. I had such a wonderful time. The Hotel is in a great loctaion with many bars with in walking ditance. THe Sandbox and Nashvilles were litterally around the corrner. But it Is also a nice place for Familys.The Kitchenette was very conveint we saved tones on fast food. Pool and Sauna were beautiful. My own little Foux spa! Thank you So much Island Colony for a memorable 21st Birthday!

Great place to spend the night....

the hotel service was great...the room was clean and the lanai was beautiful...the only thing that i did not really like...that the bathroom is so tiny little compare to some other hotel that i stay before ...n the other one that the parking is so high compare to the surrounding parking close to the hotel...$18 dollars per night ...so if u consider this hotel ..u might consider the surrounding parking close by ...the most is $11 down to $7.oo a nite...the hotel price is good but the parking is too much...

great price, room terrible.

I was very shocked to know that this room was presented as a room .The hotel had a great staff @ the front desk @ nite.Thank you to my wonderful friend I made @ that desk who did anything I asked to accommodate me . And the guards for the gate were great . The room on the other hand was ugly and damaged and not up to par . The bathroom was corroded @ the base of the wall and the sink , The cabinets in the bathroom, the vanity and the kitchen were damaged and gross .The shower did not function well when you went from faucet to shower. The fridge leaked water which leaked all over our groceries...everytime you awoke in the morning you stepped into a pool of water , as it also was the way to the bathroom . The balcony had a big pool of a sticky substance on the old wrecked outdoor carpet , right @ the entrance to go in and out....I believe it was leakage from the air-cond.It was absolutely gross .We covered it with the big piece of carpet they had outside. We did not complain as we felt that it wasn't worth it as the damages needed to be fixed while it was not in use. We did consider asking for a room change , but the staff and especially the woman @ the desk @ nite made me feel like I didn't want to make a complaint to her as she was so nice @ all times. This room needs a serious up-grade ASAP . One of us works in home -improvement and knew that these things seriously needed to be taken cared of when no one is occupying it . I use to live down the street when I lived here and had a lot of friends that lived in this bldg. But, I never saw a room like this . Thank you for letting me ,hopefully help you improve that room 1819.

Convenient, clean & comfortable

The hotel is also a timeshare appartment block so has good services such as in house shop, good laundry, BBQs, etc. Although it's a little bit run down, the room was very comfortable and the kitchenette meant it was possible to save money on food - Waikiki's super expensive to eat out sometimes! All in all, really good hotel, I'd recomend it.

Great room for the money

Very satisfied with room and amount of money we very clean and quite was their wedding / vacation it was great.

Recommend hotel to all travels who are there for the beach.

This hotel is for the working class folks who don't demand a waterfront stay or room service or a restaurant in the hotel. We got a suite with a Diamond Head view from the lanai and an oceanview from the living room. Had all the amenities needed like a timeshare w/a kitchette. We stayed at two other places and this place was by far the nicest we stayed in. Folks who live there were all pleasant, too. Definitely recommend this one to families, singles, young and old.

Hotel is comfortable, alittle small, but view is exceptional.

Great value for the money!

We were absolutely satisfied with the hotel. Comfortable, nice beds and linen; kitchenette. Good location. Parking available at a decent rate (for Waikiki). Most of all we got what I consider an excellent rate with only one day notice of our booking. It isn't the swankiest on the beach, but I'd definitely go back.

great room for the money

We were up early due to the time change, and the hotel had a huge balcony for us to watch the sunrise on. We could walk every where, to the beach, the night life, shopping. Excellent choice!

Satisfied

The hotel was a great price for the area. The room was definately showing its age with warped wood, yellowed linoleum and popcorn ceilings. But- the room was clean and comfortable. I would suggest turning on the small airconditioning unit as soon as you get there and leaving it on to cool the room. It is a small unit and takes quite a long time to cool the room off for sleeping. We only needed a quick two night stay and were out on the town for most of it- so it worked!
