Excellent Hotel

A clean, contemporary styled hotel serving both business and touring travelers. Clean and pleasant. It is located at the railroad and bus stations and only a block from the main tram line. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the old city. The only aspect some may not appreciate is the noise that passing trains make, especially during warm weather when the window is open. My wife and I enjoyed a 3-day stay.

Great base for day trips

This hotel is a typical modern European hotel, clean, tasteful decoration, more spacious than older hotels. This InterCity, like most, is right next to the main train station. The hotel gives free street tram passes to guests which makes this an excellent place to use as a jumping off point for Freiburg area touring. The housekeeping staff does a great job and the cleaning staff manager was particular in doublechecking the staff's work. The only negative to this hotel is that the wireless internet service was grossly expensive when compared to other hotels, and particularly when compared to T-Mobile. But there are a few cheap internet hot spots in the area.

Convenient Location, but Loud

The location is great if you need to be by the train station, but otherwise it is really loud. We were there during a heat wave, so we had to have our window open. The breakfast was okay, but not really up to the standards of the other hotels we stayed in on our trip. The staff were good, but again, they didn't quite meet the standards of other hotels. Okay experience. It might be better in winter when you can close your window.

Centrally located, clean hotel

The InterCity Hotel was spotlessly clean with a friendly and helpful staff. Parking in the train station garage is somewhat inconvenient but only costs $9.00 per day. It is ideal for guests traveling by train. The room was comfortable but small.
