Trip Type: Special Event Review 1 of 11Needs improvement
We booked this hoted due to the Water Park. The Water Park was fun, when it was open. However, the rest of the hotel did not meet expectations. Rooms were small, roof leaked after a snowfall/rain.

Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 11A little shabby
A little shabby. It took forever to get hot water to the shower. I liked the free breakfast in an actual restaurant. Would be great for kids with the water park.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 11Great time
It was myslef and two kids and we had a great time. We loved the big pool and everyone was friendly. The dinning seemed old and could be updated. But the rest of the plase was great. We will come here again the next time we take a trip to the sand dunes or take a trip on the train.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 4 of 11Gloomy Hotel
This hotel had a creepy feel about it. It is dimly lit and looked as though there was no one around except for the very courteous front desk attendant. The hallway ceilings on the main floor are so low I could touch them. Black room doors, no thanks. We cancelled our reservation and went elsewhere.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 11Great night's rest and breakfast
We didn't have time to use the nice looking indoor pool and large hot tub but it looked to be well maintained. Room was large was very confortable. Bathroom was a little out-dated but very clean and functional. You get coupons worth $5.20 for breakfast and pay for anything over that but the quality was good and it was plenty of food. There are a few items on the menu that cost exactly $5.20.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 11Very Impressed
We booked a night at this hotel on our way to the Great Sand Dunes park slightly north of Alamosa. We knew we were going during the off-season and weren't expecting much, but were pleasantly surprised overall with the place. We stayed in one of the "Executive Suites" on the first floor and were blown away by the sheer size of the room itself and the little things that made our night there very enjoyable. The "Jacuzzi" located in our room was simply a deep bathtub with jets, but we managed to make due. The appliances in the kitchenette area were all satisfactory and they used good brand name coffee. The bed was a king size and was nothing amazing but still quite comfortable nevertheless. Plenty of lighting in the room to make up for the fact that it had no outside windows (other than the door into the room from the hallway we had a sliding glass door that went out into the recreation area). The hotel staff was polite and more than willing to help when we needed anything extra. The hotel itself is decent sized and has a pool/jacuzzi inside of it as well as a restaurant, and a business center with internet access. We received two coupons for free breakfast, though there's a catch. It's good for a specific $5.20 item on their menu, and you will only receive the discount if it's that price or less. If you choose something OVER $5.20, it will not apply to the price. However, it was overall a very enjoyable stay and a impressive hotel for the location and time of the year we stayed. Definitely would recommend especially for families, and looks like the best place to stay in Alamosa. If you're not there for it already be sure to check out the Great Sand Dunes park off of CO-17 just about 15 miles north of the hotel, a great experience!
