Trip Type: Not Provided Review 17 of 256needs plenty of improvement
great look and hotel staff were competent and polite, rooms were clean and no bedbugs. However, there were no elevators for a 3rd floor room, no air conditioning for an 85 + day and the bathroom needed a major upgrade. Also the parking surcharge for parking a block away was uncalled for at the rates we were charged.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 19 of 256Great Location
We were in Seattle for a concert at the Key Arena. This hotel was the perfect location! We were able to walk to the venue within minutes. The hotel was quaint, old, but clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely offered some charm to our stay in Seattle.

The room was more spartan than I would have expected, but the location made up for it.

Trip Type: Family Review 21 of 256So..So..Stay...
Beware, the hotel does not have an elevator. So when we arrived after 2 weeks in Alaska with 4 suitcases, we had to lug them up 3 stories. The hallway was hot and the room was hotter. It took awhile for the small window air conditioner to kick in. People at the hotel very helpful and friendly, but hauling the luggage up and down 3 flights was a killer, especially at 11:00 pm after traveling all day.

The hotel had old world charm. Very close to space needle and park. But, as one reviewer stated, we were on the third floor and had to lug our suitcases up three floors. The room was small, but like I said old world charm.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 23 of 256Good location for the money
Good location and decent price but a very basic run down room. If you want to stay near Seattle Center on a budget it is a n ok choice

Trip Type: Special Event Review 24 of 256Not great
For a hotel conveniently located in downtown Seattle, the rates were very reasonable. The hotel itself is old and it shows; many would probably consider it charming. Lobby spaces have period-ish furniture, and there's a lovely courtyard where guests can take their continental breakfast. In spite of the many "charming" touches, the bedspreads were cheap and modern. Our room was a little odd - it came with a queen bed and a twin, a kitchenette crammed into the tiny space, yet with a spacious closet. Everything was very clean. The parking situation isn't great, and we found it much more cost-effective and convenient to park on the street.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 27 of 256Great place!
This hotel and the college inn in the u district have the most character of all hotels in Seattle. It's clean, is in a great location, is priced well below what it should be and offers complementary wine on selected afternoons. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 28 of 256Great hotel for those on budget but still want to see the city
A fantastic hotel for location for restaurants, proximity to Space Needle (and transportation downtown). You can see the Space Needle from some room windows, and the hotel has a nice outdoor garden. The rooms are a bit small and plain, but have a small kitchenete and address all needs. Service is fantastic and the staff will help make reservations around town. Definitely stay here again.

Not sure I would consider this inn 'quaint.' It's an older building in a good location. We will spend a few more dollars on a better place on our next trip to Seattle.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 30 of 256Great Room for the Money
The location of this hotel was great for what we needed. It was a cute little inn, however one thing that was very strange was that the house keeping knocked on our door and decided she needed to clean our room while we were in it. It was only 8am! It was very uncomfortable for us to have her cleaning while we were there. There was no offer of coming back at a later time. Also, the "continental breakfast" was quite dissapointing.
