Trip Type: With Friends Review 16 of 26Very Nice!!!!
I found this gem after being priced out of hotels in the center of Boston. The reviews were good and I had a wonderful stay. The room was immaculate and I was able to make coffee in the common kitchen area in the am. The hotel is in a wonderful community (Winthrop) and it was a pleasant diversion to walk around the surroundings and enjoy the sea air and unique architecture of the homes. There are a couple of really good restaurants within a 5 minute walk from the inn. The bus stop is right outside the inn and is less then a 10 minute ride to the train-which is also less then 10 minutes to the center! I would stay there again without hesitation!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 17 of 26Great refuge from the Boston Marathon madness
We wanted a place with a reasonable rate to escape the scalpers downtown Boston. Our who daughter ran in the marathon needed time off the night before. So we needed a place for ourselves, to ourselves and we found it at the Inn at Crystal Cove. This place is more like a bed and breakfast in that there are kitchen facilities on the second floor while we stayed on the third. The view was beautiful. The town is so quiet and restful. The food in the nearby restaurants excellent. Try Alia's on Shirley Street for a Sunday night 3 course Italian meal. The price is worth it. All we needed was the Primi first course and we took a bag home for the refrigerator. People are friendly, pleasant, take the time to talk to you. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 19 of 26Less than expected
The picture of the Inn was what sold me on making the reservation. When I arrived I stayed in a building off of the main building which was a little dissapointing. The room contained two queen beds, bath, tv, and was nice but connected to a common room with a kitchen, lounge and tv area for the other two rooms. When I got up in the morning to shower before heading to the airport I discovered that there was no hot water. Cold shower in the morning not good. No internet service. I thought the neighborhood it was located in was great and may have been fun to explore if one had time. It was also hard to find. If you have time and an adventureous spirit it could be fun to stay here.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 20 of 26I got my money's worth and more than I expected
The reviews of previous travelers mostly gave a fair picture. I wanted a hotel near Logan Airport and this one was half the price of the others. On the bad side, the bed was not great, the TV was not connected to any signal (we didn't ask for it to be fixed, because we were only there overnight), and the air conditioner was noisy but that was OK because it drowned out the airplanes going overhead (we wanted to be near Logan, remember). On the plus side, there was a decent kitchen available for our use, and when we asked the clerk for recommendations for where to eat, he gave us a thorough listing of what was near enough to walk for both dinner and breakfast. All the places he named seemed like good choices, and the one we went to had excellent food and a great view across the harbor to downtown Boston (and Logan, of course). The neighborhood seemed like a diverse working-class place, but not unsafe. I would stay there again.

Trip Type: Family Review 23 of 26Nice Find
Good value for your money compared to the pricy hotels closer to Boston. Our cab driver didn't know the place and that got us worried at first. Nothing spectacular, but is clean with friendly staff. we liked the commonly used kitchen and living area (for I think a total of 6 rooms), perfect if you do not want to go out all the time. Oversees the harbor.

Trip Type: Business Review 25 of 26Scared for my life!
This place is a DUMP!!! The neighborhood is not acceptable. It was obvious that the facility is used for low-income housing. I was on the lower level and no shades on my door or window. The police were arresting someone in the parking lot. That was the only time I felt that no one would break into my room.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 26 of 26Inexpensive Hotel Close to Boston
Not the best hotel in terms of quality of service, but great in terms of price per night in close proximity to the City of Boston. Very near to buses which get you to major subway lines within 20 minutes, and right down the street from a 24-hour cab service.
