Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 21Great Atmosphere
We stayed overnight for our 10th wedding anniversary. Looking for something a bit away from home, but not too far. The room was great! The bed was very comfortable and the size of the room was great. We arrived a bit late, but had no problem walking a half a block up for drinks and dinner at a local pub. The next morning we easily walked to Michael's Kitchen for breakfast. Very satisfied with the comfort, location, and price! Can't wait for next year to do it again!

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 21Great location and great price
My wife and I have stayed at the Indian Hills Inn two times during this past summer. Both times were great experiences at the Inn, with a very friendly staff and comfortable/spacious double queen bed size room. The Inn is just two short blocks from the main Taos Plaza and right next to some really nice restaurants. We love to walk to dinner and shopping, so this location is ideal. We would recommend this place to stay to anyone who wants a convient and comfortable experience.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 21Extremely disappointed
I was so disturbed by the unclean appearance that we nearly left. The outside of the hotel is run down, the paint in the rooms is sloppily done, there are gashes in the walls. The hotel staff was horribly slow and disconnected. I twice called to the front desk and received no answer. The common area surrounding the hotel is unkept. It appeared to be a hotel near closing. We travel often. I wouldn't let my kids take their shoes off as the carpet was filthy. It was quite dark in the rooms. The one positive thing was the beds were comfortable.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 7 of 21great location
This hotel is walking distance from all the shops and downtown restaurants. If you can handle the dirty carpet, it's an overall good deal. A simple continental breakfast is offered in the morning. For the money, it's not too bad. I was a little disappointed in the cleanliness though.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 8 of 21Great budget hotel
This place was a great hotel for the price. While previous reviews noted its need of new paint and maintenance, I found none of these conditions during my stay. Nice pool, comfortable rooms. If anything, the beds were too soft.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 9 of 21Nice Hotel
Conviently located off the main road that runs thru Taos. There's a McDonalds and a TGIF resturant within a mile of the hotel. Room was quaint. Judging from the earlier reviews they apparently did some up keep. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Even had a heat lamp in the bathroom and a selection of coffees to brew in the room. Furniture was in good shape. Staff was friendly. I left very early in the AM so I didn't a chance to sample the breakfast. Location was quite and I couldn't hear any noise from other patrons. Overall experience was very good. Only complaint was that the bathroom sink's plug was stuck in the "plugged" position. Great value for the money.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 21Good value
Great location. Hotel needs some maintainance - paint peeling from corners in room, carpet is worn and stained, and could be better vacuumed. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was about average for a free, continental breakfast. Much better price on-line than from calling.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 21Needs some serious updating!
The location was great but carpet and furnishings were as old as the Taos Pueblo. And room was really small but the continental breakfast was better than average.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 13 of 21Fine for the price
The first room they gave me was dark and dirty, but they were really nice and moved me immediately into a much more acceaptable room. The carpet is dingy and walls need painting, but the most important things - bathroom and bed/sheets - were clean.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 14 of 21Needs Updating
Hotel needs updating. Need to patch celing and walls, new paint, new rugs. Employees at front desk were friendly. I think they only changed towels and made beds when cleaning rooms. Stayed for three nights and noticed bathroom floors and tubs were not wiped down, mopped or swept. Trash cans outside rooms and property were not emptied til our last day there. Would be a great hotel (for families) if updating was done.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 15 of 21Super Location / Newly Remodeled Room
Within walking distance to Taos plaza, very clean, nicely decorated King room. Super front desk clerk. Appreciated being able to park our motorcycle in the grass right in front of our room.
